- Porsche Records Impressive Global Sales In First Half Of 2023

“After the first six months of the year, we can be pleased with our delivery results so far,” said Detlev von Platen, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG. “We posted gains in every sales region.”

Despite the challenging environment in China, Porsche says it delivered 43,832 vehicles from January to June, an increase of 8%. Customers received 27,893 cars in overseas and emerging markets, representing a 16 percent increase.

SUVs continue to be popular Porsche models: in H1 CY2023, the Porsche Macan was delivered to 47,755 customers (+26 percent) and accounted for 28% of global sales. The Cayenne was purchased by 46,884 customers (+12%).
The iconic 911, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, continues to accelerate customer pulses: the 911 was delivered to 26,124 customers worldwide (+21 percent). In the first half of the year, 17,991 customers (a 5% decrease) received the all-electric Taycan. According to Porsche, the electric sports car continued to be more affected by parts shortages than other model lines.

The Panamera luxury sedan delivered 17,565 units (+13%). Another 11,035 deliveries (+13%) came from the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman models.

"Value-oriented growth is the top priority for Porsche," said Detlev von Platen. "To that end, we will continue to emphasise flexibility as the global economic situation remains challenging." We are aiming for a supply-demand balance in line with our luxury positioning, particularly in China."
