Bang & Olufsen’s Ferrari Collection Brings Italian Flair to High-End Audio
Danish high-end audio maker Bang & Olufsen (B&O) has released a new series of audio devices, borne out of the firm’s partnership with renowned Italian marque Ferrari. Cordially named the Ferrari Collection, this new collection features a slew of audio devices, ranging from portable bluetooth speakers to wireless earbuds and more.
Bang & Olufsen Beosound 2 Ferrari Edition speaker
Starting with the biggest and most expensive piece of the collection, the Beosound 2 Ferrari Edition speaker. Carved out of high-grade aluminium cone, which houses a powerful speaker unit that delivers a 360-degree home audio experience. The whole speaker’s aluminium body is finished in polished red hue, with Ferrari’s iconic prancing horse emblem labelled on top of it.
Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 Ferrari Collection headphones
Next in-line to get the Italian treatment is B&O’s flagship headphones – the Beoplay H95. Featuring custom-made titanium drivers, this Ferrari-badged headphones features adaptive noise cancelling function, which its level can be adjusted via the rotating aluminium ring on the earcup. Finished in jet black, the Beoplay H95 Ferrari edition gets laser-etched Ferrari and B&O emblems, while the titanium drivers’ grille is finished in red.
Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore Ferrari Collection portable bluetooth speaker
The third product featured in the Ferrari Collection is the Beosound Explore portable bluetooth speaker. Mind you, this is no ordinary bluetooth speaker, as this Ferrari edition unit features unique two-tone red-and-black anodised finishing on its body, as well as the Prancing Horse logo. Similar to the standard model, the Beosound Explore Ferrari edition boasts a battery life of up to 27 hours.
Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Ex Ferrari Collection wireless earbuds
Finally, there’s the special Beoplay EX Ferrari Edition true wireless earbuds, featuring active noise cancellation, six microphones, and a wireless charging case. While the earbuds themselves are finished in black with red accents featuring the Prancing Horse logo for the right-sided one, the charging case gets all-red finishing, with both Ferrari and B&O’s logos etched on it.
To no one’s surprises, each of the audio gear on the Bang & Olufsen’s new Ferrari Collection fetches a serious price tag, with the cheapest one being the Beosound Explore portable bluetooth speaker, tagged at $249 (RM1,155). This is followed by the Beoplay EX wireless earbuds and Beoplay H95 headphones, which are priced at $499 (RM2,315) and $1,299 (RM6,027) respectively.
By far the priciest item on this list is the Ferrari Collection’s centrepiece, the Beosound 2 speaker, which commands an outrageous price tag of $4,999 (RM23,195). Ferrari fans who are keen to add the whole B&O Ferrari Collection to their own coffers will have to pay no less than $7,000 (RM32,480) for it – which is still way cheaper than buying a new Ferrari car.
But still, we’d reckon that such an amount is just a mere pocket’s change for those who collect Ferrari cars as their pastimes…
