- KTMB Provides Additional ETS Service For Deepavali Celebrations
In conjunction with Deepavali, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will provide additional electric train service (ETS) trips from KL Sentral to Padang Besar in November, Bernama reported.
KTMB announced yesterday, October 16, that an additional 630 tickets will be available daily from Thursday, 9 November, to Monday, 13 November, during the long weekend. This translates to a total of 3,150 tickets available, including business class coach seats.
"The additional ETS trips are to cater to the high demand for train tickets during festive seasons," the company said in a statement.
"The country's major highways are also expected to see a high volume of traffic compared to normal days," it added.
The train will leave Padang Besar at 11 a.m. and arrive at KL Sentral at 4:36 p.m. Meanwhile, the other train will depart KL Sentral at 5.05pm and arrive at Padang Besar at 10.34pm.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today, October 17.
For easier and faster cashless purchases, use the KTM mobile application (KITS) or the KTMB website.
