- The Volvo EM90, Details Disclosed Again Ahead Of November Debut
The Volvo EM90, its official debut was confirmed back in August, then a teaser ensued earlier this month. Now courtesy of the Chinese Government, more info about it has surfaced.
What was sparsely disclosed indicates that the Swedish’s first all-electric MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) is a Geely Zeekr 009 doppelganger.
Weighing in at 2,736 KG, its size is around the same, standing at 5,206 MM long, 2,024 MM wide, 1,859 MM tall and with a 3,205 MM wheelbase.
Exterior-wise, it has an upright and boxy silhouette, a full-faced front-end with ‘Thor Hammer’ headlamps, L-shaped tail lamps, a dual-tone paint scheme, and 20-Inch bespoke wheels.
Build-wise, it underpins the same Geely Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, a Geely-Viridi E-Mobility (VREMT) electric motor, and a Geely-CATL battery pack.
This setup features either a rear-wheel drive single-electric motor (272 HP), or an all-wheel drive dual-electric motor (537 HP).
Battery options include ternary lithium units in 116 KWH and 140 KWH capacities, providing up to 702 KM and 822 KM of estimated driving range, respectively.
That said, production will be in Zhejiang, China, and the all-new and eagerly-awaited Volvo EM90 is set to make its global debut this November 12.
