- Diesel Subsidies Won’t Be Eliminated Next Year - KPDN
The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) refuted reports that diesel subsidies for diesel vehicles would end on January 1st of next year, Bernama reported. In a statement released today, the ministry denied the rumors circulating on social media, emphasizing that the allegations were untrue and that the ministry was conducting a trailblazing project to assess the efficiency of the fleet card and MySubsidi Diesel systems.
Six companies will be involved, and the pioneer project does not involve individual diesel vehicles. Skid tank quotas end on January 14.
The ministry states that testing must be done to determine whether the system truly satisfies the requirements and goals of the diesel subsidy restructuring as intended.
“KPDN hopes there will not be any parties spreading unclear or confusing statements,” it said said, adding that an official statement on the restructuring of diesel subsidies will be made by the ministry and the Finance Ministry after engagement sessions and a trial run of the fleet card and MySubsidi Diesel systems are completed.
