- Lamborghini Charts Unprecedented Sales Records in 2023
Automobili Lamborghini closes 2023 on a high note by recording several unprecedented sales records.
Automobili Lamborghini has closed off its 2023 books on a high note, as the renowned Italian automaker charted several new and unprecedented sales records last year.
Excluding the new Revuelto hypercar (right), Lamborghini has managed to deliver over 10,000 vehicles in 2023 alone.
In 2023 alone, Lamborghini has managed to break the 10,000 mark in vehicle deliveries for the first time, with a total of 10,112 units being delivered to customers worldwide. This translates into a 9.5% increase over the previous year's delivery record of 9,233 units. What’s more impressive is the fact that the 2023 delivery volume does not account for the sales volume for the new Revuelto, as deliveries for said hypercar will only commence later this year.
Aside from the new delivery record, Lamborghini also managed to bag a new all-time high for its operating profit at €723 million (RM3.717 billion approx.) for 2023—a 17.8% increase over the previous year’s record. Also impressive is the operating margin recorded last year, as Lamborghini makes about 27.2% for every new car it delivers—a new all-time high for the Italian automaker.
Those other records are all pale in comparison with the marque's overall profit of €2.66 billion in 2023.
However, all those figures pale in comparison to Lamborghini’s overall profit in 2023, as the Italian marque recorded an unprecedented annual revenue of €2.66 billion (RM13.676 billion approx.), making it 12.1% higher than the 2022 revenue record of €2.38 billion.
Automobili Lamborghini Chairman & CEO Stephan Winkelmann
Commenting on these unprecedented records, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelman said, “Automobili Lamborghini continues to break, consistently and in various areas, one record after another. This means that our choices and vision were correct and contributed to the company’s organic growth.”
Automobili Lamborghini Managing Director & CFO Paolo Poma
Meanwhile, Lamborghini MD and CFO Paolo Poma commented, “In 2023, we again recorded unprecedented financial and business performance that positions us as one of the key global luxury players, with profitability of 27.2%. Together with a solid order bank, this allows us to look to the future optimistically and to plan the next steps of our growth over the long term.”
Aside from venturing in the global endurance race championships with the SC63 hypercar (left), Lamborghini is also poised to unveil the upcoming successors for both the Huracan and Urus (right).
Besides the delivery commencement of the Revuelto, 2024 will also see Lamborghini making its historic racing debut with the SC63 Hypercar in several endurance events worldwide, including the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans. More importantly, Winkelmann also hinted that we might see both the new Urus PHEV and the Huracan successor make their first public appearances this year.
