Lamborghini And Sonus Faber Teams Up For Exclusive Audio Suite In Revuelto
Lamborghini has teamed up with Sonus Faber, together creating an exclusive audio suite available as an option for the Revuelto.
Italian supercar purveyors Lamborghini and renowned Italian sound masters Sonus Faber recently announced a collaboration agreement. Borne out of which is a Sonus Faber audio system that’s crafted exclusively for the Revuelto - Lamborghini’s latest flagship V12 supercar.
According to both firms, said exclusive new audio suite will be available as an option for customers to customise their Revuelto build orders with. This option is being made available starting this month, and the Revuleto stands as the first Lamborghini model to offer such.
The goal of this partnership is to produce an in-car system that showcases Italian artistry, superior craftsmanship, and a long history of achievement. The R&D and Design departments of Sonus Faber and the Lamborghini Centro Site collaborated to develop the bespoke and exclusive audio system.
The system devised by Sonus Faber sees a 7-speaker setup, all powered by a Full Class-D amplifier with an advanced digital signal processor rated at 750-watts.
Though the new Revuelto is arguably a much quieter car than its predecessors thanks to its newly adopted plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain element, there’s no denying the challenge of upstaging the symphony sung by its screaming atmo V12 when it roars at speeds.
Thankfully, Sonus Faber’s sound system for the Revuelto is no slouch either. Firstly, the package combines a newly designed 750-watt full Class D amplifier plus a collection of seven speakers - a tweeter and mid-woofer in each door, a single full-range speaker in the dash, and an single integrated full-range surround sound speaker behind each the driver and the passenger.
The amplifier mentioned is brimmed with an advanced digital signal processor that, according to the brand, results in “a masterful symmetry of sound” and allows the listener “to experience audio in its purest form.”
Upstaging the Lamborghini Revuelto's atmo V12 will take quite a bit, and Sonus Faber reckon their exclusively-devised audio suite for said supercar will do so.
“The collaboration with Lamborghini is an extremely important milestone for Sonus Faber, further expanding the brand into the luxury car segment” said Fiore Cappelletto, Vice President and General Manager Automotive at McIntosh Group - Sonus Faber’s parent group.
Neither Lamborghini nor Sonus Faber elected to share price information for this exclusive option. Butlike the electrifying V12-engined ‘stage’ it is set in, it won’t be cheap. For reference, the Lamborgihni Revuelto arrived locally late last year with a RM2.5 million base price before taxes. KR
