- PRO-NET Inks MoU with ChargeSini to Grow EV Charging Network

Proton New Energy Technology (PRO-NET) has expanded its EV charging network by entering a roaming agreement memorandum of understanding (MoU) with local charging point operator (CPO) ChargeSini. Through this MoU, PRO-NET will incorporate ChargeSini's DC Chargers into its existing charging network throughout its Hello smart app.
This partnership announcement follows the establishment of Hello smart App last October, which aims to aggregate the major charge point operators (CPO) such as Gentari, ChargEV, JomCharge and ChargeSini to make smart cars a formidable EV brand in the country with almost 75% of public charging points coverage across the country.

The MoU, which was signed by PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang and ChargeSini’s founder and CEO James Goh at PRO-NET HQ, intends to establish a working relationship which would enable smart to focus on expanding its product offering, while leveraging on CPOs strength in expanding charge points establishment nationwide.

The Hello smart App, when paired to the vehicle's infotainment system, enables users to experience the full spectrum of smart car ownership by seamlessly integrating technology into their daily routines, enhancing convenience and upgrading their entire ownership experience.

Furthermore, the Hello smart App would also display ChargeSini’s live Charging Map while its Navigation System would provide real-time charging station availability. Additionally thanks to the integration, smart car users will be able to start charging and make payments directly from the Hello smart app without having to download any extra apps.

Based on details gathered, the entire integration process would be complete Q3 this year just in time for the launch of the upcoming smart #3 together with the announcement of Proton’s very first EV which would be launched in 2025.
