- PRO-NET Partners ChargeSini,Other CPOs, For EV Charging At Condos
PRO-NET, the new energy division of Proton, officially partnered with four leading charging point operators (CPO). Amongst them are ChargeSini, Charge+, RExharge and Charge N Go.
Together, all parties aim to improve electric vehicle (EV) charging access for residents living in condominiums across Malaysia. Moreover, this initiative is also part of PRO-NET’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the national EV ecosystem and support the growing number of Proton e.MAS and smart EV owners.
According to PRO-NET CEO, Zhang Qiang, this new partnership aims to make EV ownership more convenient, especially for those in high-rise buildings who often face challenges with home charging.
By working with experienced charging providers, PRO-NET is helping make EV charging more reliable, accessible, and cost-effective, giving residents and building management the support they need to install chargers.
As a result of this collaboration, Proton e.MAS and smart owners will be able to charge their vehicles at 320 condominium and apartment locations across the country with ease. When combined with PRO-NET’s earlier agreement with EV Connection (EVC) in Dec 2024, the total number of high-rise charging points now stands at 1,053.
These efforts support Malaysia’s push for broader EV adoption and contribute to a 90% national coverage milestone for public charging, complementing the 2,500 public charging points currently available.
The signing ceremony was held at Proton’s Centre of Excellence (COE) in Subang Jaya. Each CPO brings unique expertise to the collaboration. ChargeSini, Malaysia’s largest charging operator with over 1,010 points nationwide, is installing chargers at 204 locations.
Meanwhile, Charge+ is contributing 18 sites as part of its regional expansion, Charge N Go is adding chargers at 93 locations, and RExharge is supporting installations at five sites, leveraging its experience in over 1,000 residential projects.
Beyond convenience, this initiative offers real world cost savings. By enabling Proton e.MAS and smart owners to charge at home, they can enjoy lower rates compared to public chargers, helping reduce the overall cost of EV ownership.
To celebrate the launch, PRO-NET is introducing a special promotion for Proton e.MAS and Hello smart app users. From 1 June to 31 Dec 2025, owners will get exclusive charging rates at participating condominium locations from as low as RM0.75 per kWh, depending on the provider.
These offers are only available through the Proton e.MAS App, which integrates directly with each CPO’s platform. With this users could see monthly savings of up to RM150 to RM200 when compared to standard public charging rates.
