The firm debuted the Emeya, which saw pre-bookings opened not long ago, at its new Lotus Kuala Lumpur Flagship Store in Glenmarie, Shah Alam earlier today. This new 1,765 square feet premise houses a 987 square feet showroom space with two bespoke customer delivery bays and configurator room amongst its key highlights.
The new Lotus Kuala Lumpur Flagship Store now complements the marque’s existing Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights that officially opened earlier this year.
Essentially, the Emeya is the lower and sleeker four-door GT twin of the Lotus Eletre 'hyper-SUV' and features similar underpinnings.
Back to the Emeya and, essentially, this lower and sleeker four-door GT twin to the Eletre EV ‘hyper-SUV’ also arrives with three guises available – base Emeya, sportier and mid-specced Emeya S, whilst a range-topping high-output Emeya R caps the range off.
All three guises share the same dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setups juiced by the same 102 kWh battery pack, though the R-badged range-topper does benefit with a higher-end dual-speed transmission as opposed to a single-speed setup in the lower two guises.
Three variants are available including a range-topping Emeya R that boasts 905 HP and 985 NM outputs that enables hypecar-like 0-100 KM/H dashes in 2.8 seconds.
Both the base Emeya and Emeya S share the same 603 HP and 710 NM outputs that enables 0-100 KM/H dashes in just 4.2 seconds plus claimed 250 KM/H V-max. Both however sees differing claimed WLTP-rated ranges of 610 KM and 540 KM respectively.
The range-topping Emeya R, on the other hand, boasts a whopping 905 HP and 985 NM output figures instead. It does make do with a little less range – 435 KM (WLTP) – for the added speed, which sees 0-100 KM/H sprints done in a hypercar-like 2.8 seconds and a 256 KM/H V-max.
All variants share the same 105 kWH battery pack that boasts ultra-fast DC charging speeds of up to 350 kW that enables 10-80% re-charges in just 18 minutes.
As for charging, all three boasts the ability to draw up ultra-fast DC charging speeds of up to 350 kW. By drawing said peak inputs, the Emeya can re-charge from 10-80% in just 18 minutes.
Apart from output, speed and range, what sets each variant apart too are the level of kit primed. Key giveaway of the base Emeya variant include its standard-equipped 20-inch cast alloy wheels and adoption of quad-piston brake calipers behind each.
While the base Emeya rolls on 20-inch cast-alloy wheels and adopts quad-piston brake calipers behind each, both the S and R variants boasts larger yet lighter 21-inch forged alloy wheels and beefier six-piston calipers instead.

Another key feature of the Emeya is its adoption of electronic air suspension, as well as the Lotus ICC intelligent torque distribution suite.
Those moving up to either Emeya S or Emeya R will find both rolling on larger yet lighter 21-inch forged alloy wheels instead plus the adoption of beefier six-piston brake calipers behind each. As for tyre, choice, all three variants adopts special Pirelli P-Zero performance rubber.
Other shared key tech include the Lotus ICC intelligent torque distribution suite, electronically-controlled air suspension, as well as an active aerodynamics suite featuring a dual-layer active rear spoiler and active front grille.
Like the Eletre, the Emeya also sports a number of key active aerodynamics built into its design such as active shutter grille and an active dual-element rear spoiler.
On board, the Emeya’s cabin is trimmed with luxurious carbon fibre, PVD aluminium, Alcantara, Nappa leather and Ultrafabrics PU materials that are all sustainably-sourced.
Apart from a full-suite of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features enabling high degrees of semi-autonomous driving, the Emeya’s tech tour-de-force also includes and intelligent and intuitive infotainment suite, 55-inch heads-up display (HUD) with augmented reality (AR) view, an award-winning KEF audio suite, as well as Road Noise Cancellation (RNC) tech.
On board, the Emeya's cabin mirrors the plush yet sustainable and very high-tech ambience as experienced in its lifted Eletre twin mentioned.
Today debut also sees Lotus Cars Malaysia reveal official prices for the Emeya. Excluding options and accessories, things start from RM555,000 for the base Emeya variant, from RM643,000 for the Emeya S, and from RM777,000 for the range-topping Emeya R.
