Launched: 2024 Lotus Eletre – Revised Base Variant Now At RM598,800

Lotus Cars Malaysia have just re-introduced the entry-level variant of the Lotus Eletre electric 'hyper-SUV' today.
Earlier today, Lotus Cars Malaysia (Lotus Karz Sdn Bhd) announced the availability of the 2024 Lotus Eletre base variant in Malaysia. The entry level guise of the British sportscar marque’s groundbreaking first all-electric ‘hyper-SUV' arrives with a new base price of RM598,800 – it was RM578,000 prior.
The re-introduction of the base variant Eletre by the firm earlier today follows up from the firm’s previous announcement where it revised the prices of the mid-spec S and range-topping R variants, which still commands RM698,888 and RM838,000 respectively.

The base-spec variant of the Eletre see its base price revised from RM578,000 to RM598,800 now (excluding customisation options and on-road costs).
This entry-level variant is primed with a 112 kWh battery pack that accepts ultra-fast DC charging inputs up to 350 kW, which in turn enables said pack to re-charge from 10-80% in just 20 minutes. According to Lotus Cars Malaysia, a full charge also yields up to 600 KM of travel (WLTP).
Despite its ‘entry level’ status, the base Eletre commands equally serious speed and performance as the Eletre S slotted above. That’s because both share the same single e-motor setup rated at 603 HP and 710 NM, which in turn enables 0-100 KM/H dashes in 4.5 seconds.

As standard, the base Eletre variant rolls on 20-inch wheels and comes primed with four-piston brake calipers behind each. New here too is the Cinnabar Red hue.
What really sets the revised base-spec Eletre apart from its S- and R-badged siblings though are level of trim and equipment. As standard, it rolls on 20-inch five-spoke wheels and it gets primed with quad-piston brake calipers behind each.
Larger 22-inch diamond-turned wheels and beefier six-piston braking hardware are available as optional upgrades at RM30,000. Other options available include an Optimisation Pack that includes notable additions side cameras (instead of mirrors) plus an active rear spoiler.

On board, 'top flight in-car entertainment' plus a 1,380-watt 15-speaker KEF Premium surround audio suite comes as standard, as do a barrage of ADAS features too.
Crucially, this base-spec Eletre stil benefits with a full barrage of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that enables a high degree of semi-autonomous driving abilities. Also included as standard is what Lotus Cars Malaysia describes as ‘top flight in-car entertainment’ suite.
The latter bit is also paired with a 1,380-watt 15-speaker KEF Premium audio hardware with surround sound, which is also a standard-equipped feature. Lastly comes two new paintjob options – Akoya White and Cinnabar Red (pictured).

Like its S- and R-badged siblings, the base-spec Eletre see its price include a 5-year or 150,000 KM manufacturer warranty plus an 8-year or 200,000 KM EV battery warranty.
Take note, said prices mentioned at the start are base prices sans customisation options, upgrades, and on-road costs. In does however include a 5-year or 150,000 KM manufacturer warranty plus a separate 8-year or 200,000 KM EV battery warranty.
Viewing and orders can be done at the Lotus Store located in Pavilion Damansara Heights.
