- Launched: Xpeng G6 – 2 Variants, Up To 570 KM Range, From RM165,000
The Xpeng G6 premium EV crossover SUV has officially landed in Malaysia under BAuto via its new Bermaz Xpeng subsidiary earlier today.
At last, Bermaz Auto Berhad (BAuto) officially introduced the Xpeng electric vehicle (EV) brand earlier today under its newly established Bermaz Xpeng Sdn Bhd subsidiary. Launched today was the Xpeng G6 model, and it sees two variants available.
As reported based on a prior leak, the Xpeng G6 for Malaysia is available in 580 Pro and 755 Pro guises. The premium EV crossover SUV underpins the Chinese EV-maker’s SEPA 2.0 platform that boasts high counts of integrated tech, 800-volt EV architecture plus cell-to-body (CTB) battery integration.
At 4,653 MM long with a 2,890 MM wheelbase, 1,920 MM wide and 1,650 MM tall, the Xpeng G6 is a respectably sizeable EV crossover SUV.
In terms of size and dimensions, the Xpeng G6 sits 4,753 MM long with a 2,890 MM wheelbase, 1,920 MM wide and 1,650 MM tall. In turn, this translates into a rather spacious cabin plus a respectably large 571-litre standard boot space that’s also expandable up to 1,374 litres.
All variants also sport similar exterior looks featuring all-LED lighting front and aft, distinct 20-inch alloy wheels design, and five striking paintjob options – black, silver, grey, white and orange. Additionally, there are two interior colourway options available too – black and grey.
Underneath, the Xpeng G6 underpins the SEPA 2.0 platform that boasts CTB battery integration plus a high count of integrated tech. Both variants also boasts different battery types and capacities.
Separating the two are their respective level of kit, as well as battery size and e-motor outputs. Starting with the 580 Pro, it packs a 66 kWh LFP-type battery that juices a rear e-motor driving the rear wheels (RWD) with 255 HP and 440 NM, in turn granting 0-100 KM/H sprints in 6.6 secs.
The higher-specced 755 Pro, on the other hand, packs a larger 87.5 kWh NMC-type battery instead, and its rear e-motor sports a higher 282 HP output besides its unchanged 440 NM claimed torque. This explains its slightly quicker 0-100 KM/H sprint time of 6.2 secs as well.
Both variants accepts 11 kW AC charging inputs, but only the higher-end 755 Pro variant sees its 87.5 kWh NMC-type battery accept up to 280 kW DC charging inputs that grant 10-80% re-charges in 20 minutes.
As for range, the 580 Pro has a claimed maximum WLTP range of 435 KM whilst the 755 Pro betters things with its 570 KM figure instead. In terms of charging, both accepts 11 kW AC charging inputs that grant 5-100% re-charges in 7.5 hours and 9.5 hours respectively.
Those needing a quicker charge will be glad to note that the 580 Pro accepts up to 215 kW of DC fast-charging inputs that enables 10-80% re-charges in 20 minutes. The 755 Pro betters that with its acceptance of 280 kW DC inputs granting 10-80% re-charges in 20 minutes too.
Whilst on the subject of the Xpeng G6’s battery, it’s also worth noting that both variants are standard-equipped with vehicle-to-load (V2L) function via a 3.3 kW (230-volt) AC power outlet.
Typical of most Chinese-made premium EVs, the Xpeng G6 is also beaming with a rich count of ADAS features that enable high-degree of semi-autonomous driving.
Typical of most Chinese premium EVs, the Xpeng G6 is brimmed with a high-degree of semi-autonomous driving abilities. Key to this is a barrage of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features from the Xpilot Driving, Xpilot Parking and Xpilot Safety packages laced.
Highlights include Adaptive Cruise Control, Adaptive Turning Cruise, Active Lane Change, Lane Centering Control, semi-autonomous parking, exit and summon features, 360-degree parking camera with transparent chassis view, Blind Spot Detection and more.
All of which comes atop of rich basic safety kit that includes no less than seven airbags lining the cabin, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ABS and ESP, not forgetting an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold Function plus Hill Descent Control.
Qualcomm-powered infotainment touchscreen measures 14.96-inch large, boasting both 4G and wi-fi connectivity. It's also paired with an 18-speaker surround audio suite.
As for tech, both variants sport 10.2-inch digital instrumentation plus a massive 14.96-inch infotainment touchscreen. The latter is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and features both 4G and wi-fi connectivity enabling a slew of connected features such as navigation, smartphone app remote control, over-the-air (OTA) updates and the “Hey Xpeng” voice assistant.
Critically, the infotainment is also loaded with both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It’s also paired with the Xpeng Xopera 18-speaker surround audio system.
The front seats feature power-adjustability plus both heating and ventilation functions. Other key amenities present include a pair of 50-watt wireless chargers, panoramic glass roof, and a dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents plus PM2.5 filter.

As for price, the base-spec Xpeng G6 in 580 Pro and 755 Pro command RM165,000 and RM185,000 respectively sans insurance and on-road costs. Included though is both a 5-year or 120,000 KM base vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 KM EV battery warranty.

Separately, Bermaz Xpeng are offering buyers with either a 7 kW or 11 kW wallbox charger, but these cost an additional RM4,300 and RM5,000 respectively (with installation).
