It’s been a busy month for SAIC Motor Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SAIC Motor Malaysia) as it expands both the line-up and network for MG Malaysia. The former was evident with the recent previews of the MG HS crossover SUV, MG5 four-door fastback, as well as the radical MG Cyberster EV roadster.

Besides that, the firm also revealed it expanded the MG brand network in Malaysia further. The firm revealed in a press release issued today that it now has 14 showrooms and 8 service centres nationwide, ad that it is on track towards its target of establishing 35 location nationwide by 2025.

Naturally, with an expanded product line-up comes an expanded sales and service network, to which MG Malaysia now boasts 14 showrooms and 8 service centres nationwide.

New to the MG Malaysia network are three new operational outlets with a further two locations set to open soon. Amongst them are:

- MG Motor Puchong (SV Auto Haus Sdn Bhd) in Badah Puteri Puchong

- MG Motor Skudai (YY MG Auto Sdn Bhd) in Skudai, Johor Bahru

- MG Motor Juru (Westar Technics Sdn Bhd) in Juru Auto City, Prai, Penang

- MG Motor Alor Setar (Auto Gallery Group of Companies) in Alor Setar, Kedah

- MG Motor Sibu and Miri (Borneoland Automobile Sdn Bhd) in Sibu and Miri

Take note that MG Motor Alor Setar is set to become operational from mid-Sept onwards, where as the Borneoland Automobile-runned MG Motor Sibu and MG Motor Miri outlets are targeted to open their doors either mid-Sept or early-Oct.

Said new outlets added into MG Malaysia's now expanded network are poised to bolster the firm's efforts in marketing both its new ICE-powered MG HS crossover SUV and MG5 four-door fastback.

"With the expansion of our dealer network, we are poised to enhance accessibility to our latest models, ensuring that more Malaysians can experience the quality and innovation that MG stands for," said SAIC Motor Malaysia MD Steven Du.

Critically, this expanded dealership network is poised to bolster the firm’s efforts at marketing its latest combustion (ICE)-powered offerings mentioned. As a refresher, both the new MG HS and MG5 were launched as follow ups from the all-electric MG ZS EV and MG4 that debuted earlier this year.

"SAIC Motor Malaysia's expansion is a testament to our confidence in the Malaysian market and our commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative vehicles," added Lee Wen Hsiang, COO of SAIC Motor Malaysia.
