- Two Additional Trains To Serve KL Sentral-Padang Besar Route From Sept 13-22
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will add two additional electric train services (ETS) for the KL Sentral to Padang Besar route and vice versa during the second-term school holidays, Malaysia Day and Maulidur Rasul, which will run from September 13 to 22.
This is to accommodate the increased demand from passengers during the holiday season, thereby reducing traffic congestion for those returning to their homes. KTMB stated that 630 tickets will be available each day that will go on sale beginning Friday (September 6) at 10 a.m., bringing the total number of available tickets to 6,300, including business class coaches.
The extra ETS train is planned to leave Padang Besar for KL Sentral at 11.05 am and arrive at its destination at 4.30 pm over the course of the ten days. After that, it will leave KL Sentral at 5:00 p.m. and arrive in Padang Besar at 10:20 p.m.
The company announced that more train tickets will be available for purchase starting on September 6 at 10 a.m. and recommended that customers use the KTMB Mobile (KITS) app to do so.
