- MADANI JPJeBid — RM2.6 Million Collected So Far
The MADANI special number plate series has raised a total of RM2.6 million through bids, according to Transport Minister (MOT) YB Anthony Loke. He shared this during a press conference on Rapid KL's post-2025 Budget operations briefing, stating, "We have raised a total of RM2.6 million to date. The official statement on the bidding results will be released soon."
On Oct 19, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) launched the MADANI series bidding process through its JPJeBid System, with a minimum bid price of RM100. Successful bidders have up to 12 months from the official results date to register their winning numbers. The auction's results were revealed on October 24.
The special plate numbers were divided into categories with set minimum bids: RM20,000 for 'Main Numbers', RM5,000 for 'Premium Numbers', RM2,500 for 'Attractive Numbers', RM500 for 'Popular Numbers', and RM100 for 'Running Numbers'.
JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli explained that the revenue from these sales will support several Transport Ministry initiatives, including the MyLESEN and Helmet Exchange programmes, FlySISWA, and SOCSO payments for taxi drivers, among others. He added, "This initiative aligns with the government's Madani Malaysia agenda, promoting civic values."
Despite this alignment, the RM2.6 million raised is significantly lower than previous special plate collections, such as the GOLD series, which generated RM17 million, and the FF series, which brought in RM34 million. The MADANI series' despite being the current government slogan only drew in collection closer to the KFC plate series, which raised RM2 million.
