- GM Number Plate Series Launched for Malaysia Day 2025
The Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ) has officially announced the release of the special vehicle registration number series GM in conjunction with the Malaysia Day 2025 celebration.
This exclusive Special Vehicle Registration Number (NPI), carrying the prefix “GM” which stands for Gemilang Malaysia, is being offered to the public as part of this year’s commemorative campaign.
Bidding for the GM series will be conducted via JPJeBid, JPJ’s official online bidding platform, beginning today, Sept 16. The bidding window will remain open for five days before closing at 10PM on Sept 20. Results will be announced within 24 hours, on Sept 21.
As part of the promotion, successful bidders will also stand a chance to receive two tickets to the Festival Super GT Malaysia 2026, adding further appeal for collectors and motoring enthusiasts alike. Tickets can be redeemed by emailing [email protected].
The bidding process follows the usual JPJeBid terms and conditions, with minimum prices ranging from RM20,000 for primary numbers to RM300 for regular numbers.
Beyond its patriotic symbolism, the GM series is expected to be highly sought after due to its versatile abbreviation, which also resonates with familiar terms such as “general manager.”
Interested bidders can place their bids through the official JPJeBid portal at https://jpjebid.jpj.gov.my.
