- Porsche 911 GT3 992 Facelift Teased Ahead Oct 18 Debut
With Its new arrival set to make its digital debut on October 18, Porsche has teased the first GT model of the new 911 generation, that's shrouded in darkness. In contrast to previous years, Porsche's director of GT cars, Andreas Preuninger, will unveil the regular GT3 and the wingless GT3 Touring variant at the same time.
Although not much can be seen in this first official photo, it seems likely that the new GT3 will get updated front and rear lights to match the rest of the range. On the technical front, the revised car's specifications have yet to be confirmed, but previous form indicates that the GT3 will retain its naturally aspirated, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, as it has in the past.
More personalization choices and a few minor changes—like the removal of the analog tachometer and the switch to an engine start button in place of a key slot—will probably be offered as the German automaker says, "both have become even more emotional, offer customers even more individuality, and feature innovative details."
