Lalamove Malaysia Expands With New Lalamove Ride E-Hailing Service

Popular P-hailing service provider Lalamove Malaysia has expanded its portfolio with its new 'Lalamove Ride' E-hailing service announced today.


The local E-hailing (ride-sharing) space just grew a little today as popular on-demand P-hailing (parcel delivery) firm Lalamove Malaysia expanded its portfolio with its new 'Lalamove Ride' service

The new additional service was revealed via a press release issued by the firm earlier today. As you can probably guess, this is Lalamove Malaysia’s bid to rival against the likes of Grab, Maxim and, more recently, newcomers Bolt.

The expansion sees Lalamove Malaysia offer its driver partners access to a broader range of earning opportunities. Concurrently, the move also provides its users with a simple yet affordable transportation and delivery experience through one single app.

Through this new service, Lalamove Malaysia promises to connects users with driver partners who possess in-depth knowledge of navigating city traffic. The firm adds that users can rely on Lalamove to facilitate prompt pickups and efficient routes, resulting in faster travel times.

The newly added ride service by Lalamove Malaysia is accessible through the main Lalamove Malaysia app itself. Operations are limited to the Klang Valley region only now with plans to expand further. Its base fare start from RM6.00 onwards.


“Lalamove’s new ride-hailing services address the transportation challenges faced by commuters in Malaysia’s Klang Valley, such as lengthy delays during peak times, as well as exposure to heavy rain and sweltering heat in the wet seasons”, said Jane Teh, MD of Lalamove Malaysia.

Lalamove Malaysia did not disclose details regarding the size of their new ride-hailing fleet service, but details listed on its website indicate that it provides users with sedan-type cars to ride in. Operations are also limited to the Klang Valley region for now, with plans to expand further.

As for pricing, this is typically dependent on several factors such as traffic situation, order volume, availability of drivers, toll fares and more. That aside, Lalamove Ride see its base fare start from as low as RM6.00.

As noted, the new Lalamove Ride service can now be accessed through the main Lalamove Malaysia app that’s available via both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Additional details are also available online via the service’s dedicated page on Lalamove Malaysia’s official website.
