This Porsche X Recaro Gaming Chair Is Inspired By The 911 GT3 R

Porsche and Recaro have teamed up recently to create perhaps one of coolest gaming chairs ever designed. Notably, it’s both a limited edition release and boasts a design inspired by the latest generation Porsche 911 GT3 R racecar.

Just so you know, Porsche and Recaro have worked together since the 1960s, beginning with the sportscar marque’s iconic 911 model. According to both Porsche and Recaro, this gaming chair promises to bring true racing spirit to gamers, even whilst away from the track.  

Introduced initially during the 24-hour Le Mans race in a special virtual event alongside the racing series, the gaming chair was designed to simulate the experience of riding in a large racer.

Aside from that, the gaming chair, which underpins the Recaro Exo Platinum, also featured a stitched 5D armrest that has an aluminium support and multiple adjustments. The seat castor is made for all floors and comes reinforced with copolymers to allow a maximum loading capacity of 150 KG. Also, the headrest has belt passages and the Recaro logo on the front and back, respectively.

Meanwhile, lightweight aluminium alloy serves as the base and stepless adjustability which enables seat height adjustment at any time comes as one of the additional features.

It's entirely up to you whether you use it as a home office chair or a gaming chair, however it is available exclusively through Porsche Design Stores, authorised Porsche dealerships, and through Porsche's online stores.

Lastly, the cost of the Porsche x Recaro gaming chair is roughly US$2,499 (approx. RM10,600). Though this sounds pricey, let us remind you that Porsche did release an Office Chair RS prior that commanded a heftier US$6,750 (approx. RM 28,647) price tag, thus making this recent collab’s offering a relative bargain in comparison.
