Order books for the facelifted Honda Civic FE sedan have been opened ahead of its debut later in Jan 2025.

Following its debut in both Japan and Thailand earlier this year, the facelifted 11th-gen Honda Civic is now open for booking in our local market. According to Honda Malaysia, this upgraded saloon is slated to make its local debut sometime later in Jan 2025.

Since its inception back in 2022, the 11th-gen Civic sedan (codenamed FE) has garnered rave reviews and positive feedback from Malaysians, with Honda Malaysia shipping out over 22,000 units as of now. This also solidifies the Civic’s position as the best-selling non-national C-segment sedan for eight consecutive years—a hot streak started by the previous-gen (FC) model back in 2016.

Riding on its stellar success, the facelifted Civic FE looks forward to continuing this momentum, with the updated model featuring tons of upgrades and new equipment. For starters, the updated model will be strictly available in two RS variants, namely the petrol RS and the hybrid-powered e:HEV RS.

Just like the Thai-spec model, the Malaysian-bound Civic facelift will also get the new front face, featuring a new front bumper with a noticeably larger lower air intake, as well as a redesigned rear bumper. To go along with these minor styling upgrades, the petrol RS variant also benefits from black-hued front grille extensions and lower grille garnishes, while the e:HEV RS gains new 18-inch matte grey alloy wheels, replacing the two-tone units primed on the current model.

Although no detailed specifications were given on its cabin amenities, the facelifted Civic FE is expected to get the same Honda SENSING ADAS suite as the ongoing model, featuring over nine ADAS functions, as well as the Honda CONNECT mobile connectivity suite as standard. Given that both the Thai-spec Civic RS and the current Honda CR-V e:HEV RS are offered with a 12-speaker Bose sound system, perhaps we can also expect the Malaysian-spec Civic facelift to get the same equipment upgrade.

Predictably, things remain unchanged beneath the hood, as the facelifted Civic is expected to get the same powertrain options as its predecessor, with the petrol RS getting a 1.5-litre 4-cyl VTEC turbocharged engine rated at 182 PS and 240 NM. Meanwhile the e:HEV RS variant continues to be powered by the peppier and more economical 2.0-litre 4-cyl Atkinson Cycle e:HEV hybrid powertrain rated at 184 PS and 315 NM.

As of now, no indicative prices were given by Honda Malaysia for the facelifted Civic FE, but we can expect it to be priced slightly higher than the ongoing model, which currently retails from RM131,900 onwards. Bookings can now be made via any Honda Malaysia authorised dealer or, alternatively, via both Honda Malaysia’s official website and the HondaTouch mobile app, with early bird customers set to get a complimentary service voucher worth RM1,500.
