Mercedes-Benz Upgrades MBUX Voice Assistant With AI-Powered General Knowledge
With the addition of a new AI-driven knowledge element to its MBUX Voice Assistant, Mercedes-Benz is enabling more natural and educational interactions between drivers and their cars. With the use of ChatGPT and Microsoft Bing search, this function may deliver precise and current answers to a variety of queries.
This upgrade allows drivers to pose general knowledge questions to their Mercedes-Benz on a variety of subjects, ranging from physics and geography to pop culture and history. Even better, the system can have ongoing discussions, comprehending context and answering follow-up queries.
The current MBUX Voice Assistant effortlessly incorporates this AI-powered knowledge function. Simply saying "Hey Mercedes" or touching the voice button on the steering wheel will activate it for drivers. More natural and ongoing communication is made possible by the system's ability to maintain conversation histories for up to an hour.
More than three million Mercedes-Benz cars with the MBUX infotainment system can get this free update. German, British English, and American English are the first languages it is available in; additional language support is anticipated in the future.
Mercedes-Benz emphasises that data protection is still a key priority. All voice command data is anonymised and kept securely in the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud. Furthermore, a risk assessment tool is created to evaluate system reactions and minimise the possibility of dangerous or unsuitable information.
