Honda Prelude Concept Previewed at KLIMS 2024
An icon revived and making its Malaysian debut, Honda at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) with a concept preview of the Honda Prelude.
As reported, the new Prelude is set to be the brand’s new two-door coupe hybrid, which is the first Prelude model in history to have a semi-electrified powertrain.
Albeit the specs are still a secret, it is likely to underpin a 2.0-Litre four-cylinder Atkinson-Cycle e:HEV hybrid with an e-CVT automatic gearbox setup akin to the Civic and Accord.
Said setup consists of two electric motors as the primary source of power, compensated by a petrol engine, with all power transmitted to the front wheels (FWD).

Gandering at the concept, it can be seen with a sharp-dipping front-end, slit-like head lamps and grille, an encompassing glasshouse, and a full-width tail lamp design.
Interior-wise, it is expected to adopt a premium, minimalist cabin inspired by the driver-focused layout of the current FL5 Civic Type R, with cutting-edge technology and design.

That said, the new Prelude concept surely has an appeal to it, and with what is known thus far, will it garner the Malaysian people’s interest? Leave your comments below.
