- Launched: GAC AION ES – C-Seg EV Sedan, RM106,800
WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), the sole distributor for GAC AION electric vehicles in Malaysia, has officially launched the 2025 AION ES all-electric sedan at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024). Priced competitively at RM106,800, the AION ES aims to provide Malaysians with an affordable, feature-packed EV option.
Built on the AION Electric Platform (AEP) 2.0, the sedan offers a 376 KM WLTP range (442 KM NEDC) powered by a 55.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Magazine Battery 2.0, known for its durability and safety. Charging options include 6.6 kW AC (Type 2) and up to 60 kW DC fast-charging (CCS2). The front-mounted 100 kW (134 HP) motor delivers a smooth drive with selectable modes and an i-Pedal single-pedal driving function.
The AION ES combines sporty and elegant styling with features such as Flowing Arc LED headlights, Laser Blade LED taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 450-liter trunk. Inside, the cabin offers ample space and comfort, with leatherette seats, soft-touch trim, and premium features like a rotary gear knob and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Key interior highlights include Dual-zone automatic climate control with a PM2.5 air filter, an 8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay compatibility, a 3.5-inch LCD instrument cluster and keyless entry.
Safety features in the AION ES include an anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill-Hold Control (HHC), Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Autohold, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
To boost buyer confidence, WTCA offers an 8-year/160,000 km warranty for the vehicle and an 8-year/200,000 km warranty for the EV battery, motor, and control systems. Customers will also receive a complimentary 7kW home wallbox charger, valued at RM3,500.
