- 2025 Hot Wheels Formula 1 Collection Officially Unveiled
Mattel Inc. (Mattel) unveiled an exciting new range of Hot Wheels Formula 1 (F1) diecast and playset for 2025.
This new collection builds on the success of the first limited edition Hot Wheels Formula 1 car released in 2024 at announcement of a multi-year licensing partnership between the toymaker and the global racing brand.
The new lineup, introduced ahead of the Nuremberg International Toy Fair, features models representing eight of the ten F1 teams in signature 1:64 scale die cast singles and five-pack assortments, as well as a higher-end and more detailed premium die cast offerings.
Standard models are optimised for Hot Wheels’ iconic orange track playset, while premium versions include intricate details such as metal bodies, authentic team liveries, and Pirelli-branded tires for added realism.
Additionally, fans can also look forward to recreating high-speed Formula 1 action at home with the Hot Wheels F1 Sprint & Grand Prix Race Circuit track sets which features gas pedal booster and a manual DRS diverter to simulate the thrills of overtaking and real race drama.
Among the key highlights of the collection are the Hot Wheels F1 Singles (US$1.25/RM5.50). Amongst the iconic teams replicated here include Oracle Red Bull Racing, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Williams Racing.
The F1 Singles are designed for both racing and collecting while the 5-pack assortment (US$6.25/RM27) offers an additional layer of excitement with additional models from McLaren, Alpine, Haas, Red Bull and Sauber.
The Premium series (US$7.99/RM35), meanwhile, will offer Metal/Metal body and chassis, Real Riders tires and realistic details that mimic real-life F1 cars. The Premium series will also focus on collectability by placing focus on display plinths and specialised packaging.
In addition to this, two track sets will also be made available starting from Aug 2025 - the Sprint Race Circuit (US$39.99/RM175) and the Grand Prix Race Circuit (US$74.99/RM328).
The Sprint Race Circuit is equipped with a gas pedal booster and features high-octane racing elements like lap counters and inner track diversions while the Grand Prix Race Circuit takes it a step further with a three-lane booster, manual DRS diverters, and a 25-lap counter.
Moreover, Mattel also announced a more active participation in the 2025 F1 season with activations planned at all races to bridge the gap between its lineup of F1 diecast and the world of F1.
The Hot Wheels Formula 1 collection launches at major retailers this year. Locally, it’s not yet listed on Mattel Malaysia’s site or online store, but you can explore the full lineup at www.hotwheels.com/formula1.
