MAS Fleets Mercedes-Benz EQS 500 and S580e For Luxury Terminal Transfer Service
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), parent company of Malaysia Airlines (MAS), announced a new strategic partnership earlier today.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), parent company of Malaysia Airlines (MAS), have announced a new strategic partnership. From which, it sees MBM supplying MAG with a new luxury terminal transfer limos fleet comprised of the EQS 500 and S580e.
MBM revealed and handed over said fleet to MAG earlier today at the Hap Seng Star Setia Alam Autohaus. Keen readers would remember that MAG had previously fleeted the BMW i7 last year for MAS. This new agreement supersedes which, and it is set to last until the end of 2025.
The partnership now sees MBM supplying MAS with a new luxury terminal transfer limos fleet comprised of both the locally-built (CKD) EQS 500 and S580e luxury limousine models.
The partnership encompasses the use of both the locally-assembled (CKD) EQS 500 fully-electric (EV) and S580e plug-in hybrid (PHEV) limousine models, as private terminal transfer limos for the national flag-bearer’s business class flyers at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
As a refresher, the Pekan-built EQS 500 4Matic model, which retails for RM 648,888, packs a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup juiced by a 108.4 kWH lithium-ion battery pack, outputting 443 HP and 828 NM to enable 0-100 KM/H dashes in just 4.8 secs. A full charge, on the other hand, grants this EV up to 696 KM WLTP range too.
The S580e, also built in Pekan and tagged at RM718,888, instead pairs a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cyl turbo petrol mill with an e-motor and 28.6 kWh battery pack, altogether outputting 503 HP and 750 NM to enable 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 5.2 secs. Additionally, this limo’s PHEV half boasts up to 100 KM of electric-only range.
Both the EQS 500 4Matic (left) all-electric (EV) saloon and S580e PHEV limousine (right) proudly rolls off the line from MBM's plant in Pekan, Pahang. They are priced at RM648,888 and RM718,888 respectively.
Critically, this collaboration introduces more value-added luxury services and experiences for both parties’ clientele. These include the #MyMercedesRewards for MAS’ top-tier Enrich Platinum and Gold members to enjoy tailored rewards on selected Mercedes-Benz BEV and PHEV models.
Adding to which are opportunities for exclusive ownership experiences, including a chance to participate in a trip to Germany, as well as invitations to events where Enrich Platinum and Gold members gain access to MBM events. Concurrently, MBM customers also benefit with invitations to curated MAS’ Enrich events.
Moreover, all these perks come on top of the year-round Terminal Transfer Access for customers purchasing Mercedes-Benz vehicles starting from March 1, 2025.

“At Mercedes-Benz, our mission is to craft extraordinary experiences—what we call Mercedes Moments—where cutting-edge technology meets timeless elegance to make every journey unforgettable,” expressed MBM CEO and president Amanda Zhang, who was also present today.
With the KLIA Aerotrain reportedly out of action indefinitely, perhaps this is one terminal transfer service many of MAS’ eligible frequent flying business class passengers, as well as MBM customers, wouldn’t want to miss out from utilising this privilege.
