Launched: Face-lifted 2025 BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport – RM294,800
Introduced alongside the BMW 530i M Sport CKD today was the refreshed 2025 BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport EV fastback saloon.
Besides previewing the upcoming new and localised (CKD) BMW 530i M Sport, BMW Group Malaysia also elected to launch the refreshed 2025 model year version of the G26-gen i4 four-door EV fastback saloon. Specifically, the firm launched the refreshed i4 eDrive35 M Sport iteration of which.
Revealed globally back in April last year, the updated i4 now sports redesigned Kidney Grilles featuring new diamond-patterned inlay, as well as new adaptive LED headlights with BMW Selective Beam tech plus new vertical L-shaped DRL bars, as well as new laser taillights at the rear.
Notable exterior changes include the revised Kidney Grille inlay, trick new head- and taillights, as well as the larger new rolling stock.
The M Sport front and rear bumpers are retained, whilst new satin aluminium exterior trims replaces the Frozen Grey trims prime din the pre-facelift version. As for rolling stock, this fastback gets larger new 19-inch aerodynamic wheels in 996M bi-colour finish.
Capping off the exterior changes is the addition of two new paintjob choices – Cape York Green and Fire Red. Altogether, buyers now have a total of seven exterior hues to choose from.
Changes on board are more subtle, but does see notable additions like a new flat-bottomed steering wheels, revised air vents that are now illuminated, plus an updated control panel beneath said vents.
Changes continue inside with BMW priming this variant of the i4 with a new flat-bottomed steering wheel design, revised air vents and control panel beneath which. Additionally, the air vents now features matching illumination as the rest of the cabin’s ambient lighting.
Notably new on board too is a switch to sustainable new M Perform Tex upholstery. This gets presented in a black hue, as well as pipe-stitching motif finished in the signature red and blue colours of BMW M.
Power-adjustable front seats with driver-side memory function is carried over, but all seats are now covered in a new M Perform Tex upholstery that's said to be more sustainable.
That aside, the i4 eDrive35 M Sport continues to rock BMW’s current Curved Display module comprised of a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen, a heads-up display (HUD) for the driver, M aluminium trims, and tri-zone climate control, amongst many other amenities.
Retained on board too are the Connected Package Professional, wireless charging pad, as well as power-adjustable front seats with driver memory function.
Like before, the i4 eDrive35 M Sport sees its rear e-motor put out 282 HP and 400 NM to the rear wheels to enable 0-100 KM/H dashes in 6 secs.
What’s also unchanged is the powertrain as the i4 eDrive35 M Sport continues to harness a rear-mounted e-motor outputting 282 HP and 400 NM that drive its rear wheels. In turn, this enables 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 6 secs whilst enroute towards an electronically capped 190 KM/H V-max.
What has change slightly is the lithium-ion battery pack juicing the powertrain detailed. While it retains its 70.3 kWh gross capacity, its nett (useable) capacity has increased slightly from 66 kWh prior to 67.1 kWh.

Charging abilities remain unchanged with 11 kW AC and 180 KW DC inputs, the former taking seven hours to yield full charges whilst the latter boasts 10-80% re-charging speeds in just 32 minutes.
Like before, the refreshed BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport continues to see both Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant Plus packages brimmed as standard kit, offering a bevy of semi-autonomous driving assistances.
Excluding BSI, the refreshed 2025 BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport is priced at RM294,800. BSI costs an additional RM20,800, thus bringing its total price up to RM315,600 instead when included.
Lastly comes price, and the refreshed 2025 BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport commands a base price tag of RM294,800 excluding the BMW Service Inclusive (BSI) package. This marks a RM10,000 increase from the pre-facelift version launched back in Aug 2023.
Customers opting in for BSI, which adds a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty plus a six-year, unlimited-mileage service package, will need to shell out an additional RM20,800 for which, thus raising the total price figure to RM315,600 instead.
