- Jaecoo Omoda C9 CKD Sees First 500 Units Delivered To Dealerships
Jaecoo Malaysia revealed today that the first batch of its new Omoda C9 CKD offering, totalling 500 units, have made their way to authorised dealerships.
Jaecoo Malaysia revealed earlier today that the first 500 units of its second offering, the Omoda C9 coupe SUV, have made their way to authorised dealerships nationwide.
This comes as part of the brand’s scheduled customer deliveries planned for the locally assembled (CKD) model.
“In view of the dynamic automotive market outlook, Jaecoo is looking forward to steadily contributing to the healthy growth of the industry as a whole which ultimately benefits consumers,” say Jaecoo Malaysia Vice President, Emily Lek.
With its arrival at dealerships, initial customer deliveries for the Jaecoo Omoda C9 are expected to commence soon too.
She adds that the firm is ready to take its customers on the next of their ownership journey by supporting them through the brand’s now extensive network of dealership and service outlets nationwide.
First previewed in Sept 2024, and again in Oct 2024, Jaecoo Malaysia officially launched the Omoda C9 in Dec 2024. Local assembly (CKD) for the model then commence at the new Chery Shah Alam CKD factory in the same month too.
For Malaysia, the Omoda C9 is offered across two variants, those being the base 2WD guise priced at RM168,800, followed by a higher-specced AWD variant tagged at RM188,800. Both prices see a 7-year or 150,000 KM warranty coverage included.
Both a base 2WD and higher-specced AWD variants are available priced at RM168,800 and RM188,800 respectively. Included in said prices is a 7-year or 150,000 KM warranty coverage too.
Both variants share the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol heart and 8-speed automatic transmission paring, the former outputting 257 HP and 400 NM. Apart from the differing driveline, both variants share plenty of premium features and amenities across the board.
Apart from the Omoda C9, the firm did not disclose any further details regarding its upcoming new models. This year, the firm is poised to launch a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) iteration of its J7 SUV model, perhaps as early as this month (Feb).
With its first offering, the Jaecoo J7 (left), Jaecoo Malaysia successfully shifted over 7,000 units across a five-month span in 2024. This year, the firm is set to introduce a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version (right) of said model too, perhaps sometime this month.
Despite having only set up shop and operations towards the end of the first half of 2024, the firm has shifted over 7,000 units of its first offering, the Jaecoo J7, in just a span of five months since the model's July 2024 launch.
With incoming new metal like the J7 PHEV mentioned, and perhaps more, the firm is set to keep this momentum going throughout 2025.
