Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTMB) has announced that it will be adding four Electric Train Service (ETS) trains to accommodate the increased travel demand expected during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

These additional trains will run on the KL Sentral-Butterworth and KL Sentral-Padang Besar routes, including return journeys. 20220617-ets_ktmb-wikipedia.jpg

These additional trains will run on March 28 and 30, two days before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and on April 5 and 6, two days after the festivities.

In addition to these four extra ETS trains, KTMB had previously announced four other extra ETS services from March 28 to April 6, running from KL Sentral to Padang Besar and back, and KL Sentral to Butterworth and back, two trips each.
The service will add 5,016 seats, for a total of 1,254 seats daily, which includes business class seats. Tickets for these extra train services will go on sale today, March 20, at 10 a.m.
