- Batik Air Fleets Leapmotor C10 EVs For Terminal Transfer Limo
Leapmotor C10 is now the latest posh EV to follow in the trend of being fleeted by local and regional airlines for use as private terminal transfer limousines.
The trend of fleeting posh electric vehicles (EVs) to serve as terminal limousines by leading local and regional airlines continues yet again. Earlier today, Both Stellantis Malaysia and Batik Air jointly announced their partnership that sees the former supplying the latter with a fleet of Leapmotor C10 EV SUVs.
The partnership also sees Batik Air relaunch its exclusive Private Terminal Transfer service using the new Leapmotor C10 fleet it acquired. Said service is offered exclusively to the airline’s Business Class passengers shuttling between the Main Terminal and Satellite Building at KLIA Terminal 1.
Seasoned readers would remember that the airline previously offered this service using a fleet supplied by Bermaz Auto (BAuto) comprised of two flagship models from the Kia brand – the EV9 EV SUV and Carnival luxury MPV.
Stellantis Malaysia revealed that it has supplied five units of the Leapmotor C10 EV SUV to Batik Air, with the airline using it to relaunch its exclusive Private Terminal Transfer Service for Business Class flyers.
“This VIP Transfer Service isn’t just about moving between terminals—it’s about redefining the journey with innovation, care, and a touch of exclusivity," emphasised Batik Air CEO Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, via an official statement included in the joint press release issued earlier today.
“This exceptional electric SUV embodies our vision for environmentally responsible mobility while offering a seamless and refined experience—both on the road and beyond the airport tarmac,” adds Isaac Yeo, Managing Director, ASEAN, Stellantis.
Altogether, the relaunched Private Terminal Transfer service by Batik Air sees it adopt five units of the Leapmotor C10 EV SUVs. In turn, it promises Batik Air business class flyers with significantly reduced waiting times and further enhancing their premium travel experience.
