Jetour Malaysia finally launched its new VT9 three-row SUV offering at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025) earlier today in MAEPS, Serdang. As a refresher, this model was previously showcased last during MAS 2024 as the Jetour X70 Plus.

Now renamed as the VT9, likely to avoid confusion with a certain local C-SUV offering, this crossover SUV retains its wide and bold design we saw prior. As a refresher, in terms of footprint, the VT9 sits 4,724 MM long with a 2,720 MM wheelbase, 1,900 MM wide, and 1,720 MM tall.

Visually, the Jetour VT9 sports the brand’s signature X-Face front, sleek LED lights, and sporty twin exhaust pipes. Traditional Chinese design also inspires the look, with lantern-style daytime running lights (DRLs) and a feather-style grille that blends heritage with modern styling, touts the brand that’s actually from the Chery Group’s fold.

Powering the VT9 is a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol heart shared with its Chery Omoda 5 cousin Outputting 156 PS and 230 NM. Said  mill is paired with a 6-speed DCT automatic box to drive the front wheels. With the powertrain, Jetour touts that the setup has been tested over 2 million KMs to ensure reliability and smooth performance.

Inside, the VT9 has a spacious 7-seater layout. The second and third row seats can be folded down to create up to 1,680 litres of cargo space, and a powered tailgate grants easier access. The cabin includes premium touches like a leather-wrapped D-shape steering wheel, aluminium accents, and ventilated seats for added comfort.

Primed in the dash is a dual-10.25-inch digital display suite with the infotainment  half boasting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That comes on top of an intelligent voice command function. Other highlights on board include a massive panoramic sunroof and a 50-watt wireless charger.

Safety features are a strong focus too as the VT9 packs six airbags, a 360-degree HD camera view, as well as several driver assistance features such as Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Hill Hold, and Hill Descent Control.

Two variants are available, starting with a base Comfort guise priced at RM118,800. Above which comes a higher-end Prime variant tagged at RM123,800. Included here is a 7-year or 150,000 KM vehicle warranty, and a 10-year or 1,000,000 KM engine warranty.
