ChargeSini expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging network this week by  launching two new stations.

The new facilities are located at Q Sentral, Kuala Lumpur and Bangi Gateway Mall, Selangor. Both are located in strategic ends of the Klang Valley, thus solidifying the firm’s status as Malaysia’s largest EV charge point operator (CPO) further.

In Q Sentral - the heart of one of Kuala Lumpur’s busiest business and transportation hubs - the charging station is located on Season Parking Level 3 at Pillar D10. It includes a 22 kW AC charger, as well as a 40 kW DC charger with two CCS2 nozzles. When both nozzles are in use, the DC charger splits power evenly, delivering 20 kW to each vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Bangi Gateway Mall station caters to the increasing number of EV users in this burgeoning suburbs in the southern half of the Klang Valley. Located at Visitor Parking Lots 361, 362, and 363, the station features a dual-gun 60 kW DC chargers, allowing drivers to conveniently charge their vehicles while shopping, dining, or running errands.

Charging rates vary slightly between the two locations. At Q Sentral, DC charging is priced at RM1.29 per kWh, while AC charging costs RM1.09 per kWh. In Bangi, DC charging is set at RM1.39 per kWh instead.

As usual, a minimum fee of RM5 per session applies at both sites. Users are allowed a 15-minute grace period to move their vehicles after charging is complete; otherwise, an idle fee of RM2 per five-minute block will be charged.

To prevent non-EV vehicles from blocking the charging spots, parking barriers have been installed which can be lowered using the ChargeSini app. This ensures the spots remain available exclusively for EV drivers.

With the addition of these new locations, ChargeSini now operates 935 charging points across over 400 stations nationwide (AGMO numbers a little inaccurate), reinforcing its position as the leading CPO in Malaysia.
