- 50% Ticket Price Discount For KTM Commuter Passengers On June 3 & 4
KTM Komuter passengers in the Klang Valley will receive a 50% discount on all ticket types, including concession fares, on June 3 and 4 due to significant delays caused by the ongoing signalling system upgrade.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) apologized on June 1 for the inconvenience, noting that the disruption has affected Komuter and electric train services since construction began between Kepong and Salak Selatan stations on May 31. “To alleviate the inconvenience, we are offering a 50 per cent fare discount for all KTM Komuter Klang Valley routes on June 3 and 4,” it said in a statement.
Ongoing signalling improvements for the Klang Valley Double Track Phase 1 project, which was completed yesterday, have caused delays exceeding 120 minutes on KTM Komuter and electric train routes including KL Sentral-Butterworth, KL Sentral-Padang Besar, Segamat-Padang Besar, Segamat-Butterworth, Tanjung Malim-KL Sentral-Tanjung Malim, and Pulau Sebang-Batu Caves-Pulau Sebang.
