- Honda Malaysia Fuel Pump Recall - 87,490 Units Affected
Honda Malaysia just issued a mass recall notice earlier today and it affects no less than 10 models.

Honda Malaysia just issued a mass recall notice earlier today. This recall centres specifically around two components, those being the high-pressure fuel pump and fuel pump impeller.
This affects no less than 10 models produced between 2013 and 2024 – basically, it affects a sizeable number of the H-marque’s previous generation models. Popular models affected include both the previous-gen City and Jazz, Civic, Accord, and more.
Here's the full-list of affected models:
In its press release, Honda Malaysia detailed that the faulty fuel pump impeller, which affects all 10 models listed, may swell after prolonged fuel immersion. This could potentially prevent the vehicle from starting or cause the engine to stall whist driving. Altogether, this component’s recall is set to affect to total of 84,073 units.
As for the secondary high-pressure fuel pump recall, the firm says this component may crack due to prolonged use and excessive stress. In turn, this can cause a fuel leak or an increase to fuel odour on board in the cabin either whilst idling or driving. A total of 3,417 units covering two models specifically are affected here.

No less than 10 models are affected in the primary fuel pump impeller recall, whilst the secondary high-pressure fuel pump recall affects just two models.

Typical of recall efforts as such, Honda Malaysia will replace the affected components at authorised Honda service centres at no cost to owners. Critically, the firm is also extending this privilege to owners of affected models that are already out of warranty too.
Furthermore, Honda Malaysia adds that replacement stock will be made available in stages.
If you own any of the affected models listed, you can check your vehicle’s status in these recalls by using the HondaTouch app.
Alternatively, you can also check and verify online using your vehicle’s chassis number via Honda Malaysia’s dedicated recall webpage, productrecall.honda.com.my.
