Honda Malaysia Appoints Narushi Yazaki as New MD & CEO
Honda Malaysia has appointed Narushi Yazaki as their new managing director and CEO, effective from Apr 1, 2025.
Honda Malaysia today announced the appointment of Mr. Narushi Yazaki as their new managing director and CEO. Effective from Apr 1, 2025, onwards, Yazaki succeeds the ongoing MD and CEO, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, who has led the company over the past three years.
With over 25 years of experience with Honda, Mr. Yazaki has previously held several key leadership positions across multiple countries with the brand, including Japan, Thailand, and the United States. Before assuming his new role in Malaysia, Yazaki was previously attached to Corporate Administration Operations at Honda Motor Co. Ltd. headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.

Commenting on his recent appointment as Honda Malaysia’s MD and CEO, Mr. Yazaki said, “I am honored to take on this responsibility at Honda Malaysia, a market known for its dynamic growth and significant contributions to the Honda brand in the Asia and Oceania region.
“I aim to build on the strong foundation laid by my predecessors and continue driving Honda Malaysia's growth and success in this thriving market,” the new MD and CEO added.

Meanwhile, the outgoing MD and CEO, Mr. Yoshimura, will return to his native Japan, as he has undertaken a new role in Honda’s head office in Tokyo. During his three-year tenure, Yoshimura played a key role in maintaining Honda Malaysia's leading position in the non-national passenger vehicle segment for 11 consecutive years and successfully navigated the company through a challenging post-pandemic environment.
