Launched: 2025 BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport – Est. From RM349,000
Also headlining My BMW World 2025 today was the debut of the new fourth-gen (G45) BMW X3 crossover.

Besides the new G90-gen BMW M5 and new second-gen (F74) 2 Series Gran Coupe, BMW Group Malaysia also brought forth the highly anticipated new fourth-generation (chassis code G45) iteration of the BMW X3 compact luxury crossover SUV offering today during My BMW World 2025.
Teased ahead of the expo with the 2 Series Gran Coupe mentioned, the new X3 debuts from the get-go as a lacalised (CKD) offering built in Kulim, Kedah. Locally, the G45-gen X3 is solely offered in X3 20 xDrive M Sport guise for now.
Again, we’ve detailed the new fourth-gen X3 in much greater dept from its global debut, and you can read up on which by clicking these blue words.

The new G45-gen X3 debuts from the get-go as a localised (CKD) offering, and it comes in X3 20 xDrive M Sport guise too.

Back to today’s debut, the Malaysian-flavoured new-gen X3 crossover continues to underpin the familiar rear-biased CLAR platform as its G01-gen predecessor, but it benefits with a slight size increase that’s again masked by a striking and bold new design.
Straight to the mechanical bits and the Kulim-built G45-gen X3 adopts a new 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol mill that’s brimmed with a 48-volt mild-hybrid (MHEV) system that outputs 190 HP and 310 NM.
This variant also boasts the xDrive all-wheel-drive (AWD) suite, which comes on top of the 8-speed Steptronic automatic box mated with the new MHEV mill detailed. Altogether, this crossover does the 0-100 KM/H dash in 8.5 secs before hitting a 215 KM/H V-max.
Under the hood, the new G45-gen X3 adopts a new 2.0-litre 4-cyl petrol mill brimmed with a 48-volt mild-hybrid (MHEV) system.

Visually, BMW Group Malaysia elected to dress this new G45-gen X3 variant in M Sport guise, which brings 19-inch dual-tone M rolling stock, amongst other sporty visual touches. Notable too is the adoption of the marque’s ‘Iconic Glow’ light-up grille surround.
Despite the M Sport visual treatment, neither M Sport nor adaptive suspension is brimmed. Nevertheless, this (arguably) isn’t a deal breaker considering the CLAR chassis base’s stiffer rear axle bearings, enhanced stabiliser mounts, and tweaked steering ratio.

Whilst M Sport guise brings several sporty visual touches, BMW Group Malaysia also elected to brim the G45-gen X3 with its 'iconic glow' light-up grille surround.

Moving inside and the cabin rocks an all-new design and layout featuring triangular trim elements. M Sport guise also brings a D-shaped steering wheel, whereas the Veganza perforated and quilted upholstery comes in either brown and black hues.
What brings extra colours here is the 15-colour ambient lighting suite that’s present – this comes as a standard feature.

On board, the G45-gen also rocks an all-new cabin design that brimmed to the core with much of the Bavarian marque's latest and greatest tech.

Next, as far as tech goes, this is the most sophisticated X3 yet. Leading the bill here are things like the BMW Curved Display module (12.3-inch instrument plus 14.9-inch infotainment) and its BMW Operating System 9 heart - or 'brain', rather.
On top of which comes a heads-up display (HUD), illuminated and touch-sensitive BMW Interaction Bar, back-lit wireless charging pad, an interior-facing camera, not forgetting the BMW Digital Key suite.

Both Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Plus suites comes as standard kit, as do Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go function, as well as Steering and Lane Control Assistant.

In terms of driving assistances, the X3 is typically BMW here as it gets both Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Plus suites, and these come as standard.
Bolstering which are Active Cruise Control (ACC) suite with Stop & Go function, as well as Steering and Lane Control Assistant, both also primed as standard features.
Inclusive of a 5-year extended warranty and service package, the new X3 detailed commands an estimated price of RM349,000.

As for price, the 2025 BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport commands an estimated RM349,000. Like the new 2 Series Gran Coupe and refreshed 2025MY 3 Series duo launched alongside it today, said price includes a 5-year extended warranty and service package.
