Launched: Maserati GranTurismo Folgore – 761 PS, 450 KM Range, From RM998,800
At last, Naza Italia has announced the availability of the all-electric Maserati GranTurismo Folgore.

At last, Maserati brand importers and distributors – for now – Naza Italia has charged up its local line-up – both figuratively and literally – by launching two new all-electric models this week. Leading things here is of course the new Maserati GranTurismo Folgore.
Essentially, this is the all-electric twin to the all-new second-generation Maserati GranTurismo model that the firm launched locally back in March 2024.

Visually, the GranTurismo Folgore is identical to its ICE-powered twin launched prior.

Now opened for orders locally, the GranTurismo Folgore is tagged with a rather tempting starting price tag of RM998,800. Certainly, we have the government’s still active import tax incentive for fully imported (CBU) electric vehicles (EVs) to thank for this, though this is set to expire by end of this year.
In contrast, the ICE-powered variants starts from RM738,800 (Modena) and RM878,800 (Trofeo). Mind you, both prices EXCLUDE duties, taxes and options. Typical of cars as such, you’ll realistically need to double that at least figure when ordering either.
Certainly, on the performance front at least, the GranTurismo Folgore is arguably a bargain.
with 761 PS and 1,350 NM on tap, the GranTurismo Folgore does 0-100 KM/H in just 2.7 secs before hitting a V-max of 325 KMH.

While both may share similar looks, the Folgore ditches the Nettuno V6 mill in favour of a sizeable 92.5 kWh battery pack and a trio – yes, THREE – e-motors. Two of the latter powers each rear wheel, whilst one powers both front wheels. In turn, this setup also brings all-wheel-drive (AWD) into the mix.
Altogether, this tri-motor setup puts out a whopping 761 PS and a rather meaty 1,350 NM too – way more than the ICE-powered versions, which has 490 PS (Modena) and 550 PS (Trofeo). In turn, the Folgore version despatches 0-100KM/H in just 2.7 secs before hitting a V-max of 325 KM/H.
As for range, the GranTurismo Folgore boasts a claimed WLTP-rated max of 450 KM. As for charging, the 800-volt platform base sees this EV sports coupe accept both 22 kW AC and up to 270 kW DC inputs. The latter grants 20-80% re-charges in just 18 minutes too.

On board, the GranTurismo Folgore largely mirrors its ICE-powered twin for the most parts.

As for the cabin, Naza Italia sates that the GranTurismo Folgore boasts a “masterclass in minimalist and sophistication.” In other words, this electric-powered variant mirrors its ICE-powered twin on this front, and it gets matched with an arguably large and practical 270-litre boot.
That’s the new Maserati GranTurismo Folgore at glance which, again, is now opened for bookings locally through band custodians Naza Italia. What you reckon folks? Could this prove to be the start of the trident marque’s revival? Hit the comments below with your take of it…
