- McLaren 750S Gains New 50-Unit-Only Le Mans Tribute
McLaren celebrates the 30th anniversary of its Le Mans triumph by unveiling the 50-unit-only 750S Le Mans edition.
It’s been 30 years since McLaren clinched the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans crown with its iconic McLaren F1 supercar, and what better way to commemorate your past success than by unveiling a special model, this time around based on the new 750S. Cordially known as the McLaren 750S Le Mans, only 50 units of this limited-edition model will be available, each featuring unique design touches that are inspired by the Le Mans winner.
For starters, the 750S Le Mans is dressed in the new High Downforce Kit by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), an in-house bespoke division, with all its parts made from carbon fibre. The kit includes a more prominent front splitter, a roof scoop, a larger active rear spoiler, and under-wing louvers, which combine to deliver 10% more downforce to the 750S, McLaren claims.
Equally special are the two exclusive colourways offered to the 750S Le Mans, namely Le Mans Grey and the signature McLaren Orange—both featuring LM badging on the side. Not to forget, the special model also rides on the iconic five-spoke LM alloy wheels finished in stealth hue.
The Le Mans inspiration continues as we get inside the special edition model, where it gets a mix of Carbon Black Alcantara with Jet Black Soft Grain Leather upholstery, plus Le Mans embroidery on the headrests and floor mats. The grey-and-black upholstery is contrasted with either Dove Gray or McLaren Orange Alcantara accents, while a special commemorative plaque is there to remind you that you are one of the 50 lucky people in the world to own one of these.
But in case you feel a bit more nostalgic, you can also get the optional custom track record plaque for the front luggage compartment, featuring all the key highlights of the original F1 GTR Le Mans winner.
Naturally, performance specs for the 750S Le Mans remain unchanged, as the special model retains its standard twin’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 mill rated at 740 hp and 800 Nm. Mated to an updated 7-speed DCT gearbox, the 750S can blast from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, while its V-max is limited at 332 km/h.
Should you need extra braking power, there’s the optional Track Brake upgrade kit that swaps the standard brakes for red-hued callipers with gold-painted F1 logos, thus matching the Brembo units used on the F1 GTR.
With only 50 units available for grabs, we’re not surprised to learn that McLaren refused to outright unveil the asking price for this limited-edition 750S Le Mans. And naturally, we won’t be surprised if all those 50 units are already spoken for.
This limited edition 750S pays tribute to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR #59 with the now iconic Ueno Clinic grey livery, which took the overall victory at the 1995 Le Mans endurance race with drivers JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas, and Masanori Sekiya piloting. Currently, McLaren is set to field two 750S GT3 Evos in the GT3 class for the upcoming Le Mans race this year, while the automaker has already pledged to return to the top-tier Hypercar class later in 2027.
