The new Lamborghini Temerario V8 PHEV supercar debuts in Malaysia, priced from RM1.35 million before taxes & duties.

Just under one year since its global debut, Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur has finally welcomed the much-anticipated Lamborghini Temerario. Officially making its Malaysian debut, this V8-powered HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) is the latest addition to House Sant’Agata’s growing hybridised product lineup, retailing from RM1.35 million onwards before duties, taxes, and personalisation.

Not to be confused with Urus SE's V8 PHEV setup, the new Temerario's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine was developed from scratch by Lamborghini engineers.

Setting a new benchmark for the supersport segment, the new Temerario hides a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo L411 V8 engine with a flat-plane crank that is developed at Lambo’s Sant’Agata Bolognese from scratch, capable of revving at up to 10,000 RPM. Developed with hybrid usage in mind, the V8 lump alone produces 789 HP and 730 NM, which is already enough to eclipse its predecessor, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo.

Said engine is then mated to a triple-motor setup rated at 148 HP, with the two front-mounted ones powering the car during the Citta (City) driving mode. Meanwhile, the third motor is placed between the V8 mill and the new eight-speed DCT automatic gearbox, where it functions as a starter generator, helping to mask any turbo lags from the main engine.

Combined, the Temerario boasts a total system output of 907 HP (920 PS), which sees this super-PHEV complete a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 2.7 seconds before hitting its V-max of 343 km/h.

Four driving modes will be available in the Temerario V8 PHEV.

Drivers get to play around with up to four selectable driving modes, which include Strada, Sport, and Corsa, which disengages the car’s stability control, and the aforementioned Citta mode. Additionally, there’s also a dedicated drift mode that allows drivers to choose different levels of oversteer for some tail-wagging action.

Befitting its enormous power output, the Temerario also boasts some serious stopping power, thanks to its fully carbon ceramic brake system with 10-piston monoblock aluminium callipers at the front and 4-piston at the rear. With this setup, Lamborghini claims the Temerario can brake from 100 to 0 km/h in just 32 metres.

Being a proper PHEV, the Temerario is juiced by a small 3.8-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged via a 7 kW AC, which takes roughly 30 minutes to complete. To compensate for the extra weight from its battery and motor setups, the Temerario underpins a new fully-aluminium chassis setup.

For performance-conscious customers, the Malaysian-spec Temerario also comes with the ‘Alleggerita’ (lightweight) package. It reduces the car’s 1,690 kg weight by 12.65 kg through body components alone, with a reduction of over 25 kg when incorporating lightweight interior elements and carbon rims.

On the design front, the Temerario borrows many design traits from both the Huracan and the new Revuelto HPEV hypercar, featuring the same mid-engined sportscar silhouette with tons of sharp lines and angular design elements we've seen on both aforementioned models. That said, those sharp lines aren’t just for show, as Lambo claims they helped the Temerario to generate 103% more aerodynamic downforce than the Huracan.

Differentiating the Temerario from both its predecessors and bigger sibling are the new and distinctive lighting units, with the front ones including new hexagonal-shaped LED DRLs for good measure. Not to forget, this super-PHEV also rides on a staggered set of forged wheels, measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear—all shod in bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres.

Sublime performance aside, the Temerario still boasts a luxury cocoon for drivers to live in, featuring a familiar driver-centric cockpit setup with tons of physical controls, including its signature jet fighter-style push-start button.

Lamborghini also claims that the Temerario’s new space frame chassis allows the cabin to have an extra 34 mm of headroom and 46 mm of legroom over the Huracan, plus a larger 112-litre load compartment under the front hood, which Lambo claims is good enough for two cabin-sized pieces of luggage. Not to forget, customers can also put two extra cabin-sized pieces of luggage behind the seats.

Other cabin amenities include an 8.4-inch central infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, powered sports seats, and many more.

And just like any other Lamborghini model, the new Temerario can be specced with tons of bespoke personalisation options, courtesy of the Lamborghini Ad Personam bespoke arm. Customers can opt for over 400 exterior colours including the new flagship Blu Marinus, plus several complementary interior colours and multiple trim options.
