The plus points and perks continue to grow for the face-lifted 2025 Proton X50. Though launched not too long ago, and proving itself to be as highly sought after as ever, the B-SUV offering continues to gain new improvements even after which.
Earlier today, Proton revealed it has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd. Through which, the latter firm is set to supply and pre-fit its Touch ‘n Go RFID tags into the 2025 Proton X50 directly on the model’s production line.

The agreement will see Touch n' Go Sdn Bhd supply and pre-fit its TnG RFID Tags on the 2025 Proton X50 directly on the model's production line.

“It’s about instant gratification,” said Praba Sangarajoo, CEO of Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd. “You drive your new Proton X50 off the showroom floor with RFID already installed,” adds the exec further, emphasising the enhanced convenience to customers this effort brings.
“By partnering with Touch ‘n Go, Proton is adding another new feature that fits perfectly with the model tagline of Intelligence That Amazes,” adds Zhang Qiang, deputy CEO of Proton Edar, who signed the MoU with Praba at the automaker’s Shah Alam HQ recently.

Besides the face-lifted 2025 Proton X50, the agreement also includes expansion to fit the TnG RFID Tag across other Proton models.

Critically, besides the face-lifted 2025 Proton X50, there is scope to extend the partnership between the two firms for other Proton models. The aim here is to offer buyers of said other Proton models the same seamless driving experience.
“We aim is to improve the level of customer satisfaction, and we think this is one of the steps we can consider towards achieving that goal,” added Zhang Qiang further. However, no timeline for this tech’s implementation in other models was stated yet.
As a refresher, the 2025 Proton X50 sees three variants on offer priced between RM85,800 and RM109,300 thanks to an on-going RM4,000 rebate offer for the first 10,000 buyers.

As a refresher, the face-lifted 2025 Proton X50 debuted early last month before being officially launched towards the end of the month. Its range has been streamlined to just three variants now, all sharing the same new 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol powerplant too.
All three also share various styling updates plus a host of new features, though the latter comes in varying degrees depending on variant. Prices range between RM85,800 and RM109,300 with the on-going RM4,000 rebate offer for the first 10,000 buyers.
