Launched: Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+ Coupe Final Edition – RM538,888
MBM bids farewell to the second-gen CLA with the limited-edition Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+ Coupe Final Edition.
Besides the all-new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) also bids farewell to the second-gen (C118) CLA with the new Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+ Coupe Final Edition. This limited-edition CLA 45 S four-door coupe is based on the recently-facelifted version of the model, priced at RM538,888 on-the-road sans insurance.
What separates the CLA 45 S Final Edition from its ‘standard’ twin is the inclusion of several AMG-exclusive equipment and packages, including the AMG Night Package II that adds blacked-out AMG-specific radiator shells, plus black chrome-hued radiator grille struts and badges.
Also primed here is the special AMG fuel filler cap finished in silver chrome, plus the special Manufaktur Alpine Grey solid with Manufaktur Patagonia red metallic.
The rest of the car remains the same as the 2024 model, including AMG parts like the Panamericana front grille, aggressive AMG front and rear bumpers courtesy of the AMG Aerodynamics Package, quad tailpipes, a ducktail spoiler, and 19-inch AMG alloy wheels with red-hued AMG brake callipers behind them.
Onboard amenities also remain roughly the same, with key highlights including the AMG Performance steering wheel, aluminium AMG trims, AMG door sills, AMG Performance front seats wrapped in a combination of micro-cut leather and microfibre upholstery, a 10.25-inch central infotainment screen with AMG-specific graphics and functions, and many more.
Powering the CLA 45 S Final Edition is the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbocharged M139 engine that outputs 421 PS and 500 Nm, which is still mated to an 8-speed AMG Speedshift DCT box and trick 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup.
Despite being less powerful than the CLE 53, the CLA 45 S gets a slightly quicker century sprint time of 4.1 seconds over the two-door coupe. That said, the four-door AMG coupe still gets the same limited 270 km/h V-max as the CLE 53.
