- New RM22.7M JPJ Kajang Office Set for 2027
Kajang will soon have a new Road Transport Department (JPJ) branch, aimed at improving public service delivery and accessibility.
The RM22.7 million project began construction on 10 April 2025 and is expected to be completed by 7 April 2027. The two-storey, 2,678-square-metre building will feature a more comfortable service counter area, meeting rooms, surau, ample parking, and OKU-friendly facilities, serving up to 150 visitors at a time.
“This project sets a new benchmark for sustainable and efficient government infrastructure
Its location will connect Hulu Langat, Kajang, Bandar Baru Bangi, and KLIA ensuring better access and maximum benefit to the public," said Transport Minister Anthony Loke at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Loke said the new office is expected to improve service efficiency, support local economic growth, and create job opportunities.
He added that the project supports the government’s MADANI agenda and the National Transport Policy 2019–2030, which prioritise safe, inclusive, and sustainable mobility.
The minister also called on contractors and agencies involved to maintain strict quality, safety, and transparency standards.
“Integrity and accountability must be upheld at every stage to avoid delays or leakages that affect the public,” he stressed, adding that the new office represents the government’s commitment to better services and good governance.
