Ford Ranger Raptor Gains Tougher ‘Desert Pack’ Special In Australia
Ford have released a tougher new 'Desert Pack' option for its Ranger Raptor performance pick-up truck in Australia.

Reckon the V6-powered Ford Ranger Raptor wasn’t tough enough? Then you’ll certainly like what the Blue Oval marque just released in Australia. Pictured is the new ‘Desert Pack’ limited edition version of the Ranger pick-up truck’s performance range-topper.
This special was borne out of a collaboration between Ford with leading 4x4 accessories specialist brand ARB. Aptly, the ‘Desert Pack’ makes the Ranger Raptor even more adventure-ready through a slew of key additions.

The Desert Pack brings exclusive roof-mounted auxiliary lights, an ARB-supplied sports bar, as well as an exclusive decals set.

The most striking of which here are the roof-mounted auxiliary lighting – similar to what Mitsubishi did with its previous-gen Triton. Next comes an ARB-supplied sports bar, exclusive ‘Desert Pack’ decals, as well as Ford Performance floor mats.
The sports bar added does see the Australia-spec Ranger Raptor lose its factory-fitted power roller shutter. Instead, buyers seeking a flatbed cover will have to opt for the Real Truck Power Roller shutter that’s available as a cost-option item at dealers.
Besides the added sport bar prompting the deletion of the factory-fitted roller, Ford also issued s disclaimer saying the auxiliary lights may affect DAB radio frequency on board.

Ford also issued a disclaimer for the roof-mounted auxiliary lights, warning customers that using which “may cause DAB radio frequency to become non-operational.”
These aside, there are no mechanical changes to report, and the Ranger Raptor continues to see its 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol heart continue delivering 392 hp and 583 Nm outputs.
It seems Ford will produce just 500 sets of the Desert Pack exclusively for Australian buyers ordering the 2026MY Ranger Raptor.

Lastly, Ford plans to offer this ‘Desert Pack’ option to just 500 customers in Australia who order the 2026 model year Ranger Raptor. Production for which are set to commence this month, and deliveries are slated to follow suit in the coming months too.
As for price, each Ranger Raptor Desert Pack commands an additional AUS$5,990 (approx. RM16,646) on top of the performance pick-up truck model’s base price of AUS$90,690 (RM252,029).
