Just over a year since its market debut, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia has delivered its 20,000th vehicle here in Malaysia.

Just 14 months after making its market debut back in July 2024, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia has celebrated a significant milestone by delivering its 20,000th vehicle here in Malaysia. This stellar success also cements O&J’s position as one of the top 5 automotive brands in Malaysia for the first half of 2025 (1H 2025).

The success of the O&J brand here in Malaysia underscores the brand’s rapid momentum and customer trust, as well as the global export strategy of its parent company, Chery Group.

Commenting on this momentous occasion, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia acting sales director Clement Yeo said, “Reaching 20,000 registrations in just over a year is a proud moment for us and a testament to the trust Malaysian customers have placed in Omoda | Jaecoo. This milestone is also part of a wider achievement for Chery Group, which has surpassed 5 million vehicles sold in export markets, with over 600,000 contributed by Omoda I Jaecoo vehicles.”

“Through our authorised dealer network, we remain committed to delighting customers in Malaysia with an exceptional portfolio that blends advanced technology such as the Super Hybrid System (SHS) with premium comfort, safety, and design,” he added.

To celebrate this milestone, the automaker has organised an exclusive celebration for Omoda and Jaecoo owners here in Malaysia. Held at the Blossom Glass Mansion, Kuala Lumpur, this event has attracted 100 O&J users in Malaysia, including the delivery of its 20,000th vehicle in Malaysia, the Jaecoo J7 PHEV, to the owner, Khirdzir Ali.

As the 20,000th customer, Khirdzir shared his excitement about joining the O&J community, “I believe the J7 PHEV offers great value for money compared to other cars in the same price range and segment.”

As of now, the O&J lineup in Malaysia consists of four core models, namely the Jaecoo J7, Jaecoo J7 PHEV, Omoda C9, and the newly launched Jaecoo J8 three-row SUV—all of which are proudly assembled (CKD) at the Chery Corporate Malaysia plant in Shah Alam.

Supporting this model lineup are the comprehensive dealer network that approaches 50 locations nationwide, a dedicated parts warehouse, as well as the aforementioned CKD plant in Shah Alam.

In conjunction with this milestone, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia is extending its exclusive ownership offers, with the Jaecoo J7 PHEV now coming with up to seven years of complimentary service or RM5,000 in rewards. On top of that, attractive financial packages and service options are also available for both the Omoda C9 and Jaecoo J7.

Moving forward, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia is poised to further expand its local product lineup by introducing its smallest model to date, the Jaecoo J5. Set to debut later this year, this B-segment SUV was initially previewed alongside the upcoming Omoda C9 PHEV at the Omoda | Jaecoo carnival earlier this year, with an estimated price tag of only RM120,000.
