- BAS.MY Pass Now At RM30 Monthly for Unlimited Bus Rides

The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has announced that the BAS.MY 30-day Unlimited Travel Pass for stage buses nationwide is now priced at RM30, down from RM50. The reduction takes effect immediately, allowing Malaysians to enjoy unlimited rides for as little as RM1 a day.
MOT Minister Anthony Loke said the move is part of efforts to ease living costs and could help regular bus users save up to RM300 monthly. The new rate applies only to Malaysians, while non-citizens will continue paying the standard fare. The lower fare will also be extended to all states where BAS.MY operates.

Johor Bahru currently records the highest ridership under the Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) programme, with 940,000 passengers so far this year. Its BAS.MY network now covers 21 routes, three more than before, supported by a federal allocation of RM134.94 million over two years to sustain and improve services.
Loke encouraged local operators to increase passenger numbers to one million per month and continue enhancing service quality under the government-funded scheme.
By year-end, Johor Bahru will also see the launch of BAS.MY Medik, a new on-demand service offering transport for dialysis patients, disabled persons and wheelchair users. Two specially modified vans will provide door-to-door transfers to hospitals and clinics, with bookings available through a mobile app or phone call.
Loke said the initiative forms part of the obligations imposed on bus operators to ensure mobility support for those in need.
Separately, the minister confirmed that fares for the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link have yet to be finalised and will be determined soon with the appointed operator. He added that his site visit to the RTS project today aims to assess progress and ensure work remains on schedule.
