- Proton Shifts 15,575 Units In Oct 2025, Outgoing Saga Still Leads
National automaker Proton closed Oct 2025 on a high note with 15,575 units shifted, the bulk of which driven by a sales spike of the outgoing Proton Saga model - 8,873 units.

National automaker Proton revealed via press release that it closed its Oct 2025 sales on a high with 15,575 units shifted. Naturally, the Saga still leads things, with the outgoing model’s sales spiking to a 12-year high last month.
For the latter, the Tanjong Malim-based national automaker saw a total of 8,873 units of the outgoing third gen (MC2) Saga model shifted. The nameplate last hit a similar highpoint back in July 2013.

Year-to-date (YTD) total sales of the Saga, on the other hand, now stands at 59,107 units too. With an all-new fourth-gen successor revealed and poised for launch very soon, Proton reckon it will chart similar successes.
“The company is also thankful for the rousing send-off customers are giving the outgoing Proton Saga and are thankful that interest in the upcoming new model is very strong,” expressed Zhang Jiang, Deputy CEO of Proton Edar.
Another key best-seller for P1 in Oct 2025 is of course the refreshed X50. Since launch, up to 10,418 units have been shifted this far, with 2,693 units shifted in Oct 2025 alone.

Similarly, the refreshed Proton X50 compact B-SUV continues to solidify its popularity amongst local buyers. For Oct 2025, P1 notes another 2,693 units were shifted, bringing its total sales since its July launch up to 10,418 units too.

The e.MAS 7 EV C-SUV (left) continues to see the national automaker lead overall national EV sales. The firm also touts that the recently launched e.MAS 5 (right) should garner similar successes once deliveries commence.

Elsewhere, sales of the Proton e.MAS 7 EV C-SUV also continues to see it lead overall EV sales in Malaysia for the tenth successive month. With 758 units shifted in Oct 2025, YTD total sales for said nameplate now stands at 7,413 units too.

Sales of both the X70 C-SUV (left) and S70 C-sedan (right) experienced a rebound in Oct 2025 too with 680 units and 1,402 units shifted respectively.

Regarding its EV range that was recently expanded with the launch of the e.MAS 5 model that’s also set to see deliveries commence soon, Proton Edar’s Zhang notes the firm is hoping it will further boost efforts to “position Proton e.MAS as Malaysia’s leading EV brand.”
As for remaining combustion (ICE)-powered models, the national automaker notes a rebound in sales of the X70, S70, X90, and the Persona. Notably, both the X70 and S70 models stood as the biggest gainers here with 680 units and 1,402 units shifted last month respectively.
