Chery Group has been recently crowned as the best-selling Chinese SUV brand globally in 2025.
Besides retaining its position as the top Chinese vehicle exporter last year, Chery Group has just earned yet another title following its success in 2025, as the Wuhu-based automaker was recently crowned as the best-selling Chinese SUV brand globally.
Across all its multiple brands and sub-brands, the Chery Group delivered a total of 2,315,275 SUVs last year, and that accounts for both its domestic and overseas markets.

Going model-by-model, the Chery Tiggo 7 series was the group’s best-performing SUV model last year, as it ranked first in its class in terms of export volume for four consecutive years. Its bigger sibling, the Chery Tiggo 8 series, was again crowned as the best-selling midsize Chinese SUV last year, while maintaining its position as the top-selling ICE-powered midsize SUV for ten consecutive months in China.
As for its total sales volume, Chery Group as a whole has delivered a total of 2,806,393 units last year, which is up by 7.8% compared to the previous year. From that total figure, 1,344,020 of them were exported to overseas markets, accounting for 47.9% of its total annual sales in 2025.

Now going from brand to brand, the Chery main brand was comfortably the best-performing one last year, delivering a total of 1,700,940 units, or 6% more than the previous year. The second-best performer goes to Jetour with 622,590 units, followed by Exeed (120,369 units), iCar (96,989 units), and Luxeed (90,493 units).
This cumulative sales figure is also enough to rank Chery Group as the 11th best-selling vehicle brand in the world last year, trailing behind compatriot Geely for the top-ten spot.

Looking ahead, the Chery Group has set up pretty ambitious targets for 2026, including a total sales target of 3.2 million units globally. In the age of intelligent mobility, the Group also aims to implement its latest Lingxi Intelligent Cockpit system across all major models by the first quarter of 2026, as well as deploy the Falcon ADAS suite to over 35 models by the end of this year.
