- Launched: 2026 Proton S70 MC1 – 4 Variants, From RM68,800*
Proton officially launched the upgraded and face-lifted 2026MY S70 sedan last night via a special online live stream event.

The upgraded 2026 Proton S70 MC1 has officially launched following an online live stream event held last night. Straight into things and, as before, the C-segment saloon offering continues to see four variants – Executive, Premium, Falgship and Flagship X.
Diving straight into price, the revised S70 range is tagged at RM68,800 (Executive), RM74,800 (Premium), RM84800 (Flagship) and RM89,800 (Flagship X). Said prices include a special RM5,000 rebate on offer for early bird buyers right now.
Said prices also continue to include a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, six times free labour for servicing, as well as a 5-year free data package capped at 2GB monthly. Sans rebate, actual prices are identical to the pre-facelift model’s that launched in Nov 2023.
Prices listed include a special RM5,000 early bird rebate.

As detailed last week when early bookings were opened, the 2026MY S70 swaps out the previous 1.5-litre 3-cyl turbo mill for a brand new 1.5-litre 4-cyl ‘i-GT’ turbo petrol mill – the same shared with the face-lifted X50 and updated 2026MY X70 crossovers.
Said new mil send 181 PS and 290 Nm to the front wheels via a recalibrated 7-speed DCT automatic box. With this new heart, 0-100 km/h dashes now take just 7.5 secs, and Proton also touts an improved fuel economy average of 5.7 litres/100 km.
Over to key visual changes and the 2026 Proton S70 now rocks redesigned all-LED headlights up front, whereas the Flagship variants gain a fresh new 17-inch two-tone rolling stock featuring a new blade-like look wrapped in new GitiComfort F22 tyres.

Opt for the Flagship X range-topper and the exterior styling is sharped by an all-new and angrier-looking aerokit complete with a new bootlid spoiler, aggressive faux-diffuser element in the rear bumper, as well as distinctively accented air intakes up front.
In terms of kit count, this of course varies according to grade, and you can see the spread out via the spec sheet provided below:

Naturally, much of the nice goodies – apart from the rolling stock and aerokit – are reserved for the Flagship variants. Critically, both are the only ones in the line-up to offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via their upgraded 12.3-inch touchscreens.
Other key additions in the Flagship duo include wireless mobile charger, 360-degree parking camera, power-adjustable driver seats, as well as a 10.25-inch TFT digital instrumentation panel, amongst many.
Leather upholstery comes as standard from the Premium guise onwards – you’ll find fabric upholstery in the Executive. Both these lower-end guises also make do with smaller 16-inch wheels, analogue instrumentation and a basic 8-inch infotainment units instead.

Shared across the board though are 6 airbags, lane-change assist, door-opening warning, rear-collision warning (RCW) and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA). As before, Level 2 ADAS features are reserved only for the two Flagship grades.
Lastly, as for colour schemes, Passion Red has been replaced by a new Ruby Red hue, and the Teal Bayou Green shade has been dropped. These aside, the black white, grey and blue choices seen before are retained.
