Omoda C9 PHEV Now Open for Booking – Est. RM220K, Debuts in Q2 2026

Orders for the long-awaited Omoda C9 PHEV have now opened with an estimated price of RM220,000.

Besides the new and upcoming Jaecoo J5 B-SUV, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia has also opened the order books for its long-awaited plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV, the Omoda C9 PHEV. Already previewed in Malaysia last year, the C9 PHEV is slated to make its debut sometime later in Q2 this year, with a tentative price of RM220,000.

On top of that, the Wuhu-based marque also announced special early-bird packages for C9 PHEV buyers, including a Chinese New Year “Angpow” rebate worth RM3,888 and a complimentary V2L connector cable worth RM730—bringing the total to RM4,618.

As detailed prior, the C9 PHEV features O&J’s proprietary Super Hybrid System (SHS) PHEV powertrain setup that uses a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged Miller Cycle engine as its core. Unlike the SHS powertrain found on the J7 PHEV, the C9 PHEV’s setup ups the ante with three electric motors for a combined output of 605 PS and 915 Nm, which translates to a quick century sprint time of 4.9 seconds.

The battery system has also been updated, with the C9 PHEV getting a larger 34.46 kWh LFP unit that offers up to 150 km of EV-only range. And like any other modern PHEV, it supports both DC and AC charging methods at 70 kW and 6.6 kW rates, respectively.

Combined with its large 70-litre fuel tank, O&J claims the C9 PHEV can sip as little as 1.7 litres of fuel per 100 km while delivering a combined travel range of over 1,100 km on a single full tank and charge.
