Perodua Bezza

The 2020 Perodua Bezza is the MK1 generation of the Bezza series, which was introduced in four variants; the Bezza 1.3 AV, Bezza 1.3 X, Bezza 1.0 G Automatic and the Bezza 1.0 G Manual. Prices range from RM34,778.15 to RM50,091.55. These prices do not include insurance but are inclusive of the sales and service tax. The Bezza highlights space, comfort and fuel efficiency. 

The design is a simple modern layout that has silver trims and mostly finished with hard plastic. 

The instrument cluster is a standard analogue display with backlit, with its display layout straightforward and clear.

The 1.3 AV comes with spacious 5 seats for maximum comfort. All seats are finished in black leather and suede inserts. Not only that but the rear seats are also completed with 60/40 split-folding. 

Both front and rear passengers will be spoiled with maximum comfort as the Bezza was designed for the individuals’ greatest convenience. The vehicle will leave no shortage of leg space for Asian passengers who have fully extended their seat. 

The car has a glove compartment that can fit not only the car manual and service booklet but also is able to fit some essential items such as your face masks and sanitisers. Not only that but the glove box is also illuminated for the convenience of the passengers.

There are two cupholders located in front near the gear lever and four bottle holders, each at every door panel.

The Bezza 1.3X  and 1.3 AV have 1 USB charging port and 1 12-volt power socket.

The available boot space is 508 litres, it can carry a few medium size luggage at one go.

The measurements are 4,170 mm in length, 1,620 mm in width, 1,525 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,455 mm.

The Bezza gives off a bolder and more practical feel to it with the main focus being the combination of an aggressive new bumper with sharp faux vent cutouts holding the fog lamps (no fog lamps for 1.0L) as well as a now horizontal grille and slimmer LED headlamps. 

The rear of the Bezza displays their sleek yet spacious design that focuses on the sharp cutouts on the bumpers that mirror those on the front. The rear bumper has also been extended slightly for better aerodynamics.

The front headlamps are LED adaptive projection units. 

The tail lamps are improved two-tone LED units.  

The Bezza comes equipped with 14-inch items for the 1.0L and 15-inch two-tone alloys for the 1.3L variants. 

The Bezza has the following active safety features; vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, advanced safety assist, solar security window film, hill start assist. 

The passive features include dual front airbags, ISOFIX in the second-row child seat anchors, reverse camera as well as front and rear parking sensors.

The 1.3 AV has Advanced Safety Assist 2.0 driver assistance such as the pre-collision braking, pre-collision warning, front departure alert, pedestrian detection and pedal misoperation control.

The 1.3 AV features a new and improved 7-inch touchscreen infotainment that now displays Bluetooth media information.

The Bezza is equipped with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder VVT-i engine for the 1.0 variants that produces 67 hp at 6,000 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. However, the Bezza comes with a 1.3-litre four-pot for the 1.3 variant that produces 94 hp at 6,000 rpm and 121 Nm from 4,000 rpm. 

The Bezza is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission for the auto variants and a 5-speed MT transmission for the manual variants. 

The 1.3 variant is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10 seconds.

The 1.3 variant has an average fuel consumption of approximately 4.5 l/100km

The Bezza 1.3 AV and X variants come with a touchscreen audio display system, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, power door locks with a remote keyless entry system.

The quality of the ride is firm and the seats are very comfortable. 

The sound insulation in the car was not too bad, as road and wind noises were noticeable but not too loud.

In terms of looks, the compact and practical design will grab the attention of all Malaysians. Not only that, the Bezza has all the appropriate safety features that will give the drivers confidence as well as will help them feel safer on the road, as well as to brave drivers who have just got their kopi-o license.
