MINI’s Greenest Camper Fleet Ever, The Cooper SE Countryman & Cooper SE
MINI, presenting sustainable holiday fun by taking camping trips through the local countryside to a whole new level, with their MINI Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 and the MINI Cooper SE.
The British premium brand’s efforts in benefiting the eco-balance have been made possible through emission-free driving in these two models, which also comes equipped with variably usable luggage compartments and carrier systems for roof tent mounting.
On that note, the two Coopers offered come with an electrified drive. First, the MINI Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 is sporting a plug-in hybrid powertrain that gets an all-wheel-drive system and a power output of 162 kW (220 hp).
It has a fuel consumption of 1.9 - 1.7 l/100 km according to WLTP and 2.1 - 1.9 l/100 km according to NEDC. Whereas, its electricity consumption based on WLTP is at 15.5 - 14.8 kWh/100 km and 14.8 - 14.1 kWh/100 km according to NEDC.
The range of the MINI Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 is up to 59 kilometres only. However, the intelligently controlled interaction of the combustion engine and electric motor enables it to replenish the energy reserves of its high-voltage battery while on the road.
For the second model, the MINI Cooper SE has been installed with a purely electrical powertrain instead. The electric motor can generate 135 kW (184 hp) of power and can sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
Power consumption wise, it generates at 17.6 - 15.2 kWh/100 km according to WLTP and 16.1 - 14.9 kWh/100 km according to NEDC. As for the range, it has up to 203 km to 234 km.
As for the matching optional equipment, both come with model-specific carrier systems from the MINI Original Accessories range along with a roof tent.
Moreover, on the ALL4 trim or Classic Plus Package, the optional equipment has been enhanced by a roof rail, among other things. Therefore, the accompanying roof tent can be easily mounted on the roof rails with the appropriate railing rack.
Same goes for the MINI Cooper SE, which can also be equipped with a roof tent in the same way. As it is the only standard model in its competitive field that can support the roof rails.
Elaborating further on the equipment, the roof tent can be erected fully within a few seconds.it can be done by releasing the safety catches on the housing, which in turn lifts up the tent structure automatically with the help of gas springs.
Apart from that, the eight steps of the fold-out aluminium ladder, which can be used to climb up into the roof tent that extends just as quickly, also come with the package.
Inside the accommodation, there are two comfortable sleeping berths and windows that can be rolled up with mosquito nets in front of them.
On one hand, storage wise is a no brainer for the MINI Cooper SE, as sleeping bags, luggage and other necessities for longer camping trips for two can be stored in the luggage compartment, which can be expanded from 211 litres to 731 litres with the rear seat backrest folded down.
On the other hand, the MINI Cooper SE Countryman ALL4, with its five doors and five fully-fledged seats offer a luggage compartment volume of 405 litres to 1,275 litres. Making it a true all-rounder in the premium compact segment.
All in all, by uniting sustainable mobility and benefitting the ecosystem at the same time, campers can bask in the beauty of nature, all done from their sleeping place in the roof tent of the MINI Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 and the MINI Cooper SE.
